Yeah, Maxwell and his brilliant record against spin. Or any bowling for that matter....do you even read what you write or do you just bash your head against the keyboard and let autocorrect do the rest?

Lock in option B Eddie

So MMarsh is out injured, no doubt our selectors will fly Henriques over there but replace him with Maxwell in the team.

Mitchell Marsh will take no further part in the series :copyright: Associated Press

Mitchell Marsh is to be replaced by another allrounder for the remainder of Australia's Test campaign in India after his sore shoulder failed to improve following a period of rest leading into the tour.

Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright will be under consideration to fly to India after the conclusion of this week's Sheffield Shield round, as Australia recalibrate during the 10-day break between the second and third Tests of the series. Marsh, however, will head home with plenty to think about as both a bowler and a batsman.

Having hurled the ball down at speeds in excess of 140kph during 2016, Marsh's pace dropped away alarmingly during a home summer in which he was also axed from the Test team due to a string of poor scores. When recalled for the India series, Marsh was withdrawn from the limited-overs squad in order to rest his shoulder in the hope of recovery.

However, in five overs across the two Tests, his pace remained in the 120kph bracket, and it is for this reason, rather than three low scores in four innings at No.6, that the selectors have been compelled to look elsewhere. "Mitch Marsh will go back to Melbourne with his shoulder," coach Darren Lehmann said. "We'll decide in the next day or so the replacement there, and then work out what our best XI is from there.

This is such, utter horseshit.

'His pace is down, it's irrelevant he can't buy a run'

Just f**k right off. Lehmann needs to be removed from the selection panel and there needs to be a massive overhaul of the rest.

So we could have sent the bloke who scored a massive double tonne last week, or the bloke who is averaging 13 with the bat in Shield this season

Guess who we're sending. Go on, guess...

And the selectors have now picked a guy averaging 15 with the bat and 42 with the ball this shield season...

Henriques, Faulkner, Cartwright and Wildermuth would have all been better choices than f**king Stoinis.

This annoys me more than f**king Maddinson getting picked.

Big Show a lock for the team now and no doubt he'll end up opening the batting again

The selectors should be loaded into the same cannon as the Darshes and Wade and fired into the sun.

4 day form means nothing, it's slogging runs in ODI games on postage stamps and big beat IDG form that counts.

If Ian Harvey was around he'd play 100 tests ffs!!

But but but he hit a white ball hundred in Auckland!

They have seriously lost the plot. They pick too much on gut feel and agendas.

I would go as far to say it shouldn't be ex-players on the panel.

Surely Stoinis is going there as the work experience kid to pour the coffee and occasional net bowler. They wouldn't rush him into the test side over guys that have been there since day 1... would they?

Lehmann has just lost it. Did a good job for the first couple of years with a very average Australian team, but his little beef with Geeves has shown that he is thin-skinned and let his ego get in the way of his job and selections.

On a side note, his son is now averaging 47 in first class cricket and is making consistent runs. If he comes into contention at some point, then surely he's gotta be let go...

Yet Nevill was averaging in the 20s (with flawless keeping) and that was enough to be dropped lol

Honestly since about 2015 i think Boof has constantly drunk, him being a selector compromises the team IMO.
