Just settled down for my first look of the test and I'm greeted by f**king warnie.

'Oh, goodness me'.

How do I get the Afrikaans commentary?

Pretty great day for Elgar and Cummins, and AB to a degree

Elgar is incredibly underrated, possibly test cricket's best opener atm

And Cummins is a huge talent - great that he's had a run without serious injury

What's the wicket like?

I went to bet at 2 for and waiting for ABDV to ton up, pleasantly surprised at the score.

Good to see Paddy get some wickets and Haze again not rewarded for some fine bowling.

And yet again our catching letting us down, we could be batting by now.

You must of missed the 10 mins they talked about the plastic faced f**ks hole in one at Augusta.

How does the f**king POS continually get gigs overseas???

Elgar and Azhar Ali are definitely the stand outs right now imo.

You'd back them to score tough runs in most conditions.

with Elgar's footwork, or lack thereof, he is only guaranteed to score on flat decks

its amazing how a bloke like him can do so well with such a poor technique

Absolutely. Just like Bradman, Smith, Lara, Barrington ABDV etc technique is all that matters.

Doesn't matter that he keeps his head in a good position or is balanced when the ball gets to him, or that he has scored runs on different types of pitches, his technique is shit and he should stick to park cricket.

It's also very interesting that on a flat track he was the only one to score a hundred - how shit are the techniques of his team mates then?

It's almost like technique is meaningless, so long as you have the mental ability required to play your own game well.

technique is all that matters.

Cool story but I never said that

I've long commented on techniques being a coach and I admire people with a good technique as its attractive to watch, you only have to look at Smith and ABdV to know that its not everything, yet when some one like Rabada can get the ball to jag in and exploit the technique of Smith walking across his stumps, it make him look pretty bad.

A decent forward defensive technique would counteract that and get plenty of runs just working the ball to square leg.

Technique is not everything you have to have the eye and mental application to match it as this level.

I'll leave it to you to critique TEST cricketers techniques.

Right

Get these last 2 wickets out quick (total no more than 300, prefer no more than 280) then bat out the day with a lot of wickets in hand, maybe even a little lead?

Khawaja or Bancroft will ton up here, got a feeling..

Rabada is world class, one of the best in the world (rankings have him as the best), it's one thing to say someone should be coming forward but then he puts one at your chin and you second guess your next forward movement and he's not bowling throw downs.. any doubt and you're walking back
