How do flights to NZ cost that much?
I think once you travel outside of Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch ticket prices go up due to no competition

The total price could drop quite a bit if Dunedin was dropped from the list or replaced by Christchurch

england fans could do

manchester > brisbane > melbourne > manchester for £809....taking in the first 2 games plus the melbourne cup....thats a nice little trip

actually if you book it in 2 sections,as ive just tried on expedia

manchester > brisbane > melbourne (£690) then do melbourne > dunedin > wellington > manchester (£997) you can do it for £1700....so not that bad then...

panic over

Melbourne game is the Sunday after Derby Day and before Melbourne Cup - so will be a good weekend/weekend for visitors

That's what it was last time though and it only got just under 19,000. Hopefully it will be better this time.

It also pissed down rain just before kickoff, I know because I was there and half of our crew decided not to go because of the rain.

Meh. Sydney had its chance with internationals.

They should spread the England game around. Haven't played them anywhere else but Melbourne since 2006. By the time they (hopefully) come back to Brisbane and Sydney next year it will almost have been ten years since an Australia v England/GB test has been played in those cities.

The only tests Sydney has held since the last World Cup have been Australia v PNG in 2010 and a couple of Tonga v Samoa tests. In 2008 Sydney got 34,000 to both the Anzac Test and the World Cup opener, as well as numerous ok crowds to smaller nations.

I guess the fact that we are playing NZ in Sydney in a few weeks means that the Four Nations tests went to other cities.

Oh well hopefully we can get 35,000+ to the ANZAC test. Sellouts in Brisbane and Wellington, plus over 25,000 for Melbourne and Dunedin and over 15,000 for Wollongong and Whangarei.

Should get close to 220 thousand attendance.
Hopefully expats will get a chance to see some good games, both in Brisbane, Melbourne and Wellington if all goes well.
I see Sydney is now on the naughty list, no soup for Syndey.

Except for the Anzac test.

The entire capacity of each stadium put together isn't even 220,000.

I think it rained pretty much all weekend in Melbourne.

18,000 wasnt a bad crowd for those conditions, but then again there was about 10,000 more in the test earlier in the year and it was pouring down that night.

Hopefully a bigger crowd for this game.

2014 FOUR NATIONS SCHEDULE

Saturday, October 25: Australia v New Zealand, England v Pacific Team at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

Saturday, November 1: New Zealand v Pacific Team at Toll Stadium, Whangarei.

Sunday, November 2: Australia v England at AAMI Park, Melbourne.

Saturday, November 8: New Zealand v England at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin.

Sunday, November 9: Australia v Pacific Team at WIN Stadium, Wollongong.

Saturday, November 15: Four Nations Final at Westpac Stadium, Wellington.

Good schedule IMO.

When they say Sunday, would it be Sunday night or late Sunday alvo?

The last time we had the 4 nations down here, the first two Australia games were on a Sunday and one was in the afternoon the other at night.

Good to see Wollongong finally get an Australian test.

The last time International footy was at the Gong, Fiji played France and if I recall it was a decent crowd with mostly Fijian supporters. If Fiji were to qualify I reckon we'll get a good crowd for that match.
