Good test for the Poms so far - about time too, they aren't as awful as they appeared

But for some woeful non-reviews and a poor (IMO) 'decision' from the umpires it could be worse for Australia

Still, series won and now Warner, Broad, Cook appear  - at least Mitch Marsh put in his planet's aligned performance before the series was dead

Was out of range all day, looks like those short pitch tactics worked a treat.

Saker and Smith get a f**king clue.

Just using the missus phone as mine is unceremoniously destroyed.

There needs to be a balance between bat and ball. The crowd want to see some runs, some wickets...be 'entertained''. I don't mind the grind myself. The pitch is crap as it was in Perth. There needs to be a serious review because cramming 5-6 tests in to 6 odd weeks on roads like this is killing careers. Can't see how the myth of Boxing Day Test being everyone's favourite can continue.

This test does reek of Broad and Cook 'silencing' their critics after the horse bolted. Let's face it they've both coasted for a month on holidays to finally show up. Kudos to them anyway. A double ton carry your bat is an awesome effort. But it feels like a test from the good ol days that would lend Butcher or Ramprakash or Mullaly the odd career highlight. Fun fact: England won one live Ashes test from 1989 until the 2005!series. Which was it?

The Barmy Army typically gobby yesterday...a month's frustration released. Ziggy zig ahhhhh.

Jackson Bird has decent economy no wickets and the ignominy of becoming a Barmy target. f**k I chortled at the pasting he copped. Smith certainly looked clueless at times. They get stuck in to Root but biggest problem is the sideline communities making decisions not the captain. Smith's underwhelming dismissal and two dropped catches have cost us this test imho.

Typically very cool here today. And overcast. Jimmy Pfeiffer (7-43 I predict) on cards. Poms will win by an innings.
3-1 to Sydney.

The live test win? First Test in 1997.

Jeepers I mention a couple of poms and Davey dumb dumb and you get sand in your vag

Is it triple D, Cook and Broad that you're leaping to the defence of?

Hope you don't live in Canberra, that could explain a bit

The organised bit, yes. Their songs and self deprecation are great.

The drunken yob hard boys on gap year who congregate with them at the later session are obnoxious twats. Safety in numbers as they look like they couldn't knock the skin off a pimple.

Yep I meant the organised crowd, they have a great time and really add to the atmosphere, pretty unique in my experience

AG is more touchy than Don Burke in response to any form of criticism of an Aussie.
