lol at this forum. Hughes can barely do a thing wrong, yet Watson (who has been our best bat this innings, and probably the second best bat this series) can do no right.

Yep, Hughes would have made 300 if Watson didnt run him out. lol.

In 1-2yrs Hughes will be back playing grade cricket.

You're the type of person who would have thought Glen McGrath was crap after seeing him average over 40 in his first 9 tests ... or thought Warne was crap after his first few tests. Or thought Bradman was crap after his test failure.

Not only that, but Hughes would have found so much form that he would go on to score back-to-back double tons at the SCG... now it's all Watson's fault that it won't happen

Twin centuries against the best bowling attack in the world suggests differently

How much longer you gonna keep living in the past knackers? That was a long time ago now when he was a new comer onto the scene who nobody knew nothing about. It didn't take long at all for others to work him out and for the most part he's done sweet f**k all since. As I've already said you can't live one past glories forever and eventually a very poor batting record after that will catch up with you eventually.

It's funny though, Hodge scores a double ton against the same team (albeit over here) and he gets sh*t canned by all and sundry on here yet Hughes is a can fail time and time again after his 2 tons yet is lauded by those very same people as our next great white hope! Face it fellas, he's just not that good

That wasn't a cricket shot, it was a hack!

That's how you swing an axe when you're trying to chop a tree down.

Awful.

Looking at those replays, what are the coaches teaching kids about technique these days?

Just dreadful and it surely can't all be down to T20 hit and giggle.

Pommies going for the kill now...

How many more Aussie batsman can be considered out of form after this game ??...all except for Hussey even though he went for a duck.

At the moment Smith is a #7 or #8 at best with his batting at test level.
I don't think anyone on here would disagree with you, Haddin at 6 and him at 7 would make more sense. lol @ Bagging Hughes at being a flat track bully, that is at least of 90% of international batsman these days. As soon as the ball moves they have NFI.

Time will tell.

As an example Phil has 13 FC centuries @22, Watson has 17 @ 29.

Hughes is not classic, but will get plenty of runs.

I bet JJ and CS would have dropped and expected S. Waugh to retire @ 23.
