I would respect Ricky if he stood down from the captaincy but kept batting after his finger is 100%.

It is time to see what Clarke offers as a captain.

Watson is not an opener.

Firsty shut up Locky you Tithead

Secondly England have been far to good and have bowled quite brilliantly once again. Watson what a selfish prick, Burns Hughes and then wastes a referral.

And lastly i think Ricky's time is up, time for a cleanout and he is not the man to lead us into a new era. He is stuck in the past and has no concept of what it is like to struggle and graft for his runs. His arrogance in his own batting has shown this.

Lastly Neilsen,Langer,Cooley and those clowns called the selectors have to be punted as well. Not doing the job bring in someone who can.

Correct me if I am wrong, wasn't Sachin Captain, then stood down, and this year had one of his best seasons ever?

South Africa B, too good thus far.

Watson is not an opener.

5/134 (effectively 6 down as Harris might not bat)

Hopefully Haddin and Notch can score centuries to support Smiths up coming double ton

Great bowling from Swann, Batting for time is not Clarke's go. May as well played a few shots.

the only reason hughes looked half decent today was because the new ball didn't move, he's a flat track bully... had he lasted much longer to when the ball started reversing and moving off the pitch he would have been made to look like the nuffie he is

Twin centuries against the best bowling attack in the world suggests differently

Agree 100%... he's a long way from a test opener...

with Ponting and Clarke struggling, you only have Watson and the rejuvenated Hussey that look like test bats in the top 6

 @ twin centuries... yep, Johnson was good then too... Matthew Sinclair score a great century against Donald and Pollock and 2 200's... but we didn't persist... Hughes is a numpty

You could be talking about White there, he's the biggest flat track bully in the country.

Way we're playing at the moment we'll probably lose the Tran Tasman Trophy next summer as well. I also don't think we'll make it 4 world cups in a row either.

We'll be fine once the deadwood is cleared, the world cup is different format with different player's, no reason we won't do well there.

I look forward to JJ and CS being proved wrong.

Yes he does have an unusal technique, but he is a geunine run scorer. Hughes will score over 10,000 test runs, ugly as they may be.

He is only 22 and has over 4000 first class runs. Like Gilchrist as an example, he does not have a classic look, but he gets runs.

By 2012, Hughes and Maddison will be the Aussie openers.

Watson is not an opener.
