The biggest issue for the Aussie bowlers IMO is why they've never been able to consistently reverse swing the ball.
Siddle got it to go abit. But that's it. Whereas all the England bowlers are getting it to boomerang.
The same happened in England as well the last two tours there.
Aussies can't get consistent shine on the ball and also the fact that they never bowl seam up.
Most of the time its scrambled which means it wont swing. Its a joke.
Hussey gone...can't blame him but...dude has kept us in 3 tests by himself.
Ponting has to go. Apologists on here can come on and say he is averaging 40 all they want but the dude is done. He is over the hill. A huge score versus Pakistan aside, he is averaging below 20 isn't he now? That is disgraceful for a first drop batsman and a captain.
Stick a fork in him.
In Sydney, go with youth...who cares if we get pumped...its time to prepare for the future.
Usman, Bollinger, Ferguson in. Harris, Hilfenhaus and Ponting out -Harris due to injury.
Steve Smith drops down to 8 on batting order as specialist spinner.
1. Watson, 2. Hughes, 3. Usman, 4. Hussey, 5. Clarke, 6. Ferguson, 7. Haddin, 8. Smith, 9. Johnson, 10. Siddle, 11. Bollinger
Eventually phase out Hussey...and bring in Peter George, Josh Hazelwood...whoever...just a tall fast bowler...then pushing Haddin and Smith one up the order.
Either that or develop another opening bat, and push Watson to 6 with new opening bat taking Watsons place up the order, shifting Clarke to 4 and Ferguson to 5.
