...His batting has never been questioned, his decision making, and his ability to get his mates a game, regardless of there form (Watson, Johnson, Hayden etc) is what irks people about him.Ponting haters are a funny bunch. One of the greatest cricketers of all time in our team and all they want to do is bag him for everything. I'll never understand it.

India are doing it as well. I suppose that is also Ponting's fault?

Anyone still calling Bollinger a hack ;-) Johnson seriously needs to go, I said keeping him in will only lead to him challenging Mick Lewis and that is coming true.
I will say this about the PowerPlay. At BEST you will get 10-12 an over off a powerplay, closer to 10. You get 85-100 off teh last 10 overs of a ODI anyway! I agree with Michael Holding on this one, there is no point in taking a PowerPlay late as the difference between what you can get and the usual run rate is not high enough. You take it early on, with wickets in hand, ideally straight after the bowling PowerPlay.
Good win though.
Not the worst ever, it's a cripple fight between him and Yallop. Hughes>>>>>>>>>>Ponting ;-) Oh snap!!!! For the Ponting fans.......What can you do. There are some that actually believe he is the worst Australian captain ever.
agree, and ive said this before
taking the powerplay in last 5 overs is not the most intelligent thing you can do, wickets in hand your going the tonk anyway, hardly any wickets in hand then youve taken the powerplay too late cause youve got your worst batsman in
take it when you have 2 players in form or are well settled at the crease, wether its at the 20th over or 30th over. Definately should be taken well before the 40th over imo
