4th Test: Australia v England at Melbourne Dec 26-30, 2013

Most of the English tourists aren't even part of the Barmies. Good for a chat (though I have Pommy) connections, so I can chat both sides). All good in my book even if they make my teeth grind occasionally.

all those having a go a Bresnan, got NFI

He didn't get to see the bails come off, and turned around and Haddin was desperately going for the catch. His only conclusion from what he saw was that potentially Haddin hit the stumps with his gloves, and was going for the catch, left it for the umpires to give him out, not the Aussies

Yeah the umpires shouldn't have had to go upstairs but there was a very clear noise and Haddin was nowhere near it. Might have missed the noise and thought the wind had done it I guess.

This garbage situation is crazy.

Melbourne. The place is basically an open-air tip.

A pommy client who is a corrupt merkin sent a text message to every Australian he knows at lunch on the first day at the Gabba...

unlucky lads

It has taken a large amount of self control for all Australians who received it to not send it back to him...... yet.

That was some absolute insane time wasting by the Australians. The umpires don't even bother any more trying to control the game. I laughed out loud at Warner chasing a bit of rubbish around the field.

How good was the decision to bowl first now? (what you say Timbo?)

Our bowlers get 2 extra days rest before the Sydney test, so 5 full days. Also if we end up batting first in Sydney and bat for well over a day and a half, its basically a full 7 days rest for our speedmen. Fcking brilliant Clarkey and that you England too :)

this thought entered my head as well after he chose to bowl. it was about the only reason i came up with as to why he'd done this.

Yeah, because we haven't collapsed once in this series?

I remember the advice my coach gave me before I tossed the coin in the under 11s the first time I captained a side: 'win it, 9 out of 10 times bat, the tenth time briefly consider bowling and bat anyway'.

This game isn't over. And yes we're in the box seat and I'd back us in from here but chasing in the 4th is never easy.
