He came in originally because Mo was out of form.

It was an okay decision for the first test. By the time of the third test where Curran was dropped it was patently stupid. And it is still stupid.

The ball is swinging, seaming and England needs runs. Even Stokes and Curran are threatening bowlers in these conditions.

But Root is favouring to bowl Moeen over Rashid. So Rash is a nonsense selection on a 6 bowler line up with a top order averaging just 20 odd each.
