No. Every time an Australian cricketer plays a test match they go out to win. The series might be gone but the tradition of Australian cricket no matter how low the standard is goes on.

but for india as they have won the series already would consider it a dead rubber, yes they will go out to win, but if they do go down they wont care much as if it was 2 -1 or 1 all

Lyon cementing his spot for the next 10 tests with a performance in a dead rubber...
Well in the 2nd test which was not a dead rubber he was left out for the worst spinner in the history of Australian cricket. He's no world beater but he is the best we have other there by a mile.

We won't mention SOK.
