If you can believe the Channel 10 news, they reported both Woods and Tedesco refused to comply with responding to the deadline because they were pissed their good mate Moses was not given an immediate release....petulant players trying to rule the club again.

I am so glad the coach has taken back control of the team....piss 'em off to reserves, I don't think too many fans will get annoyed at doing that.

Anything upsets them. No "footy whisperer" and masseuse and they are pissed off. I'm sure they wanted Robbie pissed off as well. I think they were upset that Taylor got shafted but even then they weren't going to sign unless they got absolutely everything they wanted.

Lke others have said, very weak that they didn't at least have the decency to say "thanks but no thanks... I am taking my talents elsewhere" to their long time employer....

I couldn't never imagine doing the same to my employer and they are not offering me a million a year to stay there...

Maybe it's a millennial thing....

My first comment in years...

Our club's cultural issues go back to the late Sheens era. I thought Potter had started to fix it, but his removal firmly set us back. The rot set in then. The mismanagement and lack of professionalism of our club has hurt us attracting and retaining players.

Also do not underestimate how much the Farah situation and to some extent the Siro situation has influenced what we have just seen. If the players see no loyalty to them then why be loyal the other way?

If Benji is cheap I see no harm in bringing him back in the centres since Idris/Chee Kam are not good options. Plus he can be a back up half. Benji may help some fans heal, it is a good pr move. Plus alot of the young guys would look up to him.

But if you want a mentor, why not bring Heighnington back.

We need a fullback, I am not sold on Dugan at big money. Why not Alex Johnstone? Slightly cheaper but a good off contract fullback with speed.

Similarly I favour McCrone at 500k then Reynolds at 850k.

Lastly. How are Bayley Sironen and Marshall-King going in the lower grades?
Blockers,no neck Heighington,are you kidding
The guy can't put a sentence together
All he could mentor would be how to do the soft shoe shuffle

f**k me what a pack of absolute merkins.

I'm offended. I'm gonna pretend to hate Tedesco until at least round 1 next year. Or the 9s. Whatever.

That is disgusting if true.

These two ungrateful disrespectful fcks deserve their heads smashed in. They are taking the club for a joke

This confirms it:
WESTS Tigers coach Ivan Cleary said he had no communication with stars James Tedesco and Aaron Woods regarding their futures after the duo allowed a club imposed deadline to pass.

Cleary spoke with his two players at Leichhardt Oval today before the Tigers captain’s run for the first time since the club withdrew their offers to the representative duo.

“We hadn’t had any communication so we have made the decision,” Cleary said. “As of now we are active in the market place.

“I’m not going to pass on personal information. We had a chat. They are focused for tomorrow’s game.”

Cleary said the playing group seem “OK” ahead of their clash with Canterbury tomorrow.

“A lot of this process is trying to get rid of the distractions,” Cleary said. “The job at hand is what we do on game day and that’s tomorrow against the Bulldogs.”

f**k Cleary is a gun. He is though making a couple of mistakes. I'd be getting out the clown suits and giving away free tomatoes at the game to supporters who can have free shots at the stupid f**ken traitorous clowns.

Not that I'm pissed off or anything about them leaving. I just don't want traitors like that influencing anyone else at the club.

well they won't be, hence the deadline and the pulling of offers.

If players are going to be influenced, then we don't need them and they can leave as well.

If a rebuild is going to happen it looks like we'll be sacrificing this season only which is pretty damn impressive (considering we've been rebuilding since 2013 apparently)

Yes unit,we just have to try avoid the spoon this year ....
IC is so calm in press interviews,i like that.
And as he said its not that hard a job to start over again..He's done it twice before..
But.........We need to buy some cattle to make his job easier.....in 2018
Hope we get Packer and Matulino, they are no nonsense props....more agro than Hillbilly Woods from postcode 2192 .

Spoon makes no difference imo, so long as we are buying well and have a good roster for 2018.

I'd be looking to trial some kids this year and check out what depth we need.
