This is a hard list to make.

4) Ian Thorpe 200m
3) Sara Carrigan
2) Petria Thomas 100
1) Mens Hockey

Bayley would be an unlucky 6 in my list.

I didn't get to see much of the Hockey as I was extremely busy on the weekend. I'm certain it would have made my top 5 if I would have seen the match. Terrific effort though.

For me its a toss up between Petria (f**kin' champ she is, fantastic), Thorpey in the 200m or the first womens relay gold. Sara Carrigan's was great also and Bayley's were real good too. Congrats to all our gold medallists though and all our medallists, and most of our competitors........ and most of all the competitors LOL

I think Sarah Carrigan deserves all 5 places,She was riding in the peloton quite a way back from a leading group, no one was going to chase them ,so she did it alone and caught them,I thought,God she wont have anything left, well,we all know the answer now ,don't we??? :D :D :D

Not only did she chase them, she flew right past them, then won the sprint to the finish. What an awesome effort by a great Australian.

All the Golds were great, especially those ones that were unexpected.

But for me, the Aussie performance of the games was the Mens 4x400m Athletics. These are guys we have never even heard of, and to win a silver medal is just awesome. HUGE future for these guys for sure.

Yeah i was shocked to see them get a medal aswell. No other relay team were even competition to the Americans but good to see us beat the Brits.
