Murphy needs to flight the ball a bit more to Stokes. He can cause Stokes problems if he can consistently do this on that off/4th stump line

He didn't even celebrate that wicket. I feel for him being brought on this late.

Cuckins has been seriously exposed this series.
Yep, terrible captaincy.

What happened at Headingley was a public humiliation ritual for Murphy. Only bowling him for 2 overs in the 4th innings....clearly showed he had no faith in his spinner.

All of this while the fast bowlers were conceding easy singles (too many fielders on the boundary) and England chased down the target scoring at over 5 runs and over.....what a joke!

Good opening 3 overs from Murphy.

Needs to flight the ball more with revs, encouraging Brooks to drive against the spin. So far, Brooks is easily able to punch him off the back foot with the flatter trajectory.

Nevertheless, that wicket has changed the tempo and slowed down the run rate, dropping from nearly 5.5 to 5.03 RPO (at the drinks break).

What a wicket.

Murphy breaking that Ali-Brooks partnership has completely changed the momentum of the innings, and potential to bowl England out for less than 300 if the Aussies can get Brooks out soon.

Well, very big gamble here taking Murphy out of the attack so quickly when he was building pressure. Hope the change pays off before Brooks-Bairstow build another partnership. Otherwise, this could get ugly.

My goodness, how many insides edges has that been from the English batsmen over the past two tests that have narrowly missed the stumps! Talk about luck!

Yeah, surprised...but not surprised at the same time, given Cummins is a fast-bowler's captain (like what Ponting was after Warne retired, where they use spinners as either an afterthought or just to give the fast bowlers a rest).

The big shots basically stopped when Murphy started.. They Jag 2 wickets and Patts given up on him..
