The series is ours, can we make it emphatic with a 4-1 sweep?

Any players we should rest? Thoughts on Marcus North?

225/4 in the 47th, Watson has just notched a superb hundred in testing conditions

He's 100* off 132, Ferguson is on 35* at a run a ball

Anyone else hear Watson say to the Pakistan offspinner over the stump mike:

"Only one more week for you!"

Harsh.

4/250 all told...Watson 116*, Ferguson 41*.

Ferguson and Watson ran brilliantly together...they didn't hit many big shots but they turned ones into twos and that's what got us up there in the end. They made 81 from 84 as a pair.

WTF was with the non-caught behind at 1/3 (should have been 2-fer)? Farcical decision by Aleem Der.

When Symo walked to the crease I thought he we go we are in for some fireworks but no the way Symo batted it showed he is not back to his best yet. Watson did bat slow I thought but when you bat through an innings like he did his strik rate is fine.

^^ Not when he is prodding the ball with 5 overs to go.

Are you taking the piss? They had like 6 mix ups in the crease, Watson nearly ran Ferguson out and he really should have been. Their running for the most part was terrible.

Watson couldn't sweep a chimney and has no idea playing that baseball pitcher. Once he got into the 80's he had one eye on his 100 when he should have been going harder instead of leaving it to Ferguson. Another selfish innings from the big nice person.

Gotta love it....Pup scores a hundred at a strike rate of 81 and it's a "brilliant" knock (and it was), Watson does the same at 79 and it's "slow and selfish" The bias of some people is astounding. Regardless of the fact that his biggest fan is a total, utter twat, it was an excellent knock and deserves credit despite his exhaustion leading one single solitary mix up between the wickets.

Symonds, on the other hand, simply showed why he shouldn't be there at the moment after doing SFA all series but shockingly isn't mentioned

Our bowlers were atrocious, but it all comes back to the farcical decision by Dar and Bowden to give Shezad not out. It would have been 2/3 or 2/5 or something and changed the situation of the match a huge amount...

Lets not convieniently overlook the fact with wickets in hand Watson should have gone the tonk a heck of a lot more, especially in the last 10 overs

Difference between Clarkes century and Watsons

win-lose

Even though Clarke scores a century in the second innings CHASING a score of 197 and Watson, with wickets in hand, just prodded the ball around?

Do you recognise the difference in scenarios here? Probably not since you thought Watson and Ferguson ran "brilliantly together."

Of course they're different scenarios...Watson was still the backbone of easily the highest innings score of the series at the time. People blaming Watson for the fact that we couldn't defend a score of 250 on a pitch that had only seen scores around 200 or less previously is quite amusing, however

Apart from one mix up, Watson and Fergie ran twos where there should have only been singles and quick singles where there shouldn't have been any runs. They may not have done it with the style of a Bevan, but they didn't get run out, did they?

Being 4 wickets down and prodding the ball around was diabolical. Add to the fact that when the baseball pitcher was throwing Watson couldn't pick his nose, he definately was taking lead with costing us another 20+ runs. As soon as he got into the 80's he poked the ball around save for one absolute pie from Gul that even Glenn McGrath would have put away.

And, one mix up? Try another 4 or 5 more. Their running was far from brilliant.

He can't win, can he? He was clearly not picking the chucker again, but he fought through that and got a well made hundred that was apparently too slow...and I'd bet my house that if he'd got out to Ajmal in the 80's he'd still be being bashed from pillar to post for it. The hate for Watson on here is just ridiculous...
