Bailey in South Africa is a scary thought. Don't think Haddin can do to South Africa what he has done to England.

This is the most non-sequitur comment I've ever read on this forum.

Johnson has bowled extraordinarily well this series. Not just bowling, everything he's done has turned to gold. I never said otherwise, and I have no idea you could conclude I thought otherwise.

Baffling.
Sorry if i misinterpreted your post. But I thought you were referring to Johnson staring down the English batsmen every over as being "ludicrous". Considering It's worked an absolute treat for Australia and himself all series.

I think it's his bowling that has worked a treat and which has intimidated the batsmen, not his demeanour. I think the way he has acted has crossed the line into poor sportsmanship. Each to their own though.

The reason why Johnson has bowled so well this ashes is because of his aggression.
It's been a planned and controlled aggression that has worked an absolute treat.
Saying his stare downs or send offs are over the top are just laughable.
It's all about getting into the England's batmans head which he has done so well

Besides its cricket the least sporting sport on the planet. The players will exploit the rules as much as humanly possible. Its not golf.

I can't see a single thing wrong with anything Mr. Slave has been doing. Nothing I would consider close to over the top or out of the ordinary TBH.

A bit of the faux-cranky pants routine every now and then, but that's part of the theater of fast bowling that's being going on for decades. He's been aggressive and good to watch for a change.

Carberry looks ok. This is more like he plays county cricket I believe. Maybe he is convinced he is going to be dropped so he is more willing to play his game.

If that's the case then the ECB have no f**king idea. He's only second behind KP on aggregate for this series isn't he?

I genuinely think they are mentally shot because of his pace and intent. Not his death stare following a length ball outside off. Also think his huge improvement in control has been key. I just find the staring and constant mouthing off unbelievably tedious. You'd all hate it if it was a player from another team.

Each to their own though, and I'll cop that I'm alone on this one.

Carberry's looked the most assured of the England batsmen all series which I know isn't saying much, but he has seen off the new cherry more often than not without making a massive score.

Yeah he has looked pretty good besides the MCG test where he batted so badly it came down to him or Root to be dropped for Ballance. For whatever reason the ECB thinks VERY highly of Root.

Despite all the hate on here Carberry has done pretty well on this tour if you look at how badly the others have flopped around him.

Of course mate.

Poms give to Salve as much as we give it to Jimmy/Broad for their carry on. But that's Cricket/sport and the nature of following teams.

However, some players tend to back up their theatrics with their performances more so than their opponents.

Either way, singling out Slave for his stare downs is drawing a long bow. Fast bowlers have been doing it for yonks. Whether its put on, over-done or not, its nothing out of the ordinary.

And certainly not worthy of being categorised as unsportsmanlike IMO.

Another one bites the dust

I dont like the chances of this match lasting till tomorrow unless Stokes can pull off some brilliance again
