Bart, we havea majopr issue at 7, we have no creativity at all and you want to shut your eyes to it becasue he can tacke and is a good bloke.

FMD, he wouldn't get a game in another side, and we have to face facts, we have a couple of forwards who need a rocket in their rear end ,and a 7 & 9 who don't do enough. Robson is in the way, and plays centre in defence, go figure what he does in attack, we scored zip agaisnt the gummies, we lack direction and you have to look hard at the 7.

Thats probably the crucial point - no other team would have Robson at halfback or in there squad as anything other than an emergency reserve. Last year Robson was our third choice halfback. We've let Hayne's brilliance blind us to our halfback situation. Hayne for mine has been going ok - he cant be brilliant if we keep coughing up the ball on the third tackle. But Robson looks like he has no clue and no confidence. Kris Keating has been playing out of position, to say nothing about what it must be like to be replacing his brother (?!), but he did have some very good games at halfback in 2009.

Seriously, what Hayne achieved last year had little to do with who was at half.

So it follows that his inability to do that this year is more due to the opposition pressuring Hayne. If you blame the half for Hayne's form this season, you have to also credit him for that form last season... it's the same bloke, doing the same thing.
C'mon Bart opposition coaches aren't stupid, they've had the whole off season to analyse our game and come up with tactics to shut us down, not everyone spent the summer lolloing around on the beach.

One only has to watch a few replay games from last year to see all our playmaking is being done through Hayne, Robson poses no threat as all he does is shovel the ball around. It doesn't take a genius to work out the way to get at hayne is forget Robson and run your defence straight at Hayne to take his time away.

Seriously, how many times this year have you seen the defence rush in on Hayne and leave Robson standing there like a sore thumb with a ball in his hands and a bewildered look like a rabbit in headlights.

No.

Now every team is following Melbourne's example in shutting Hayne down, he's making errors, and it doesn't matter who you have at halfback when your $500,000 weapon has been rendered ineffective.

Thats a crock right there
