It describes a drop out and a drop goal
To which this was neither

It also describes a knock on , to which this is (by the rules of the game) one.

He was attempting a grubber
Ball hits the ground first
Sure he may have meant it

Doesn't make it not a knock on.

Complete nonsense, a player is allowed to drop kick the ball at any time in general play.

It makes no difference whether he was attempting a grubber, field goal, kick for touch or a bomb. A player is allowed to strike the ball with their foot after the ball hits the ground if they are in the action of attempting a kick, of any sort.

Unless you are trying to argue that Lui was not making an attempt to kick the ball, which he clearly was, you are dead wrong in this case mate

Perhaps so but in sure you have seen refs pull up a dudded grubber kick because the kicker has failed to get boot to the ball.

He muffed the kick & caused the refs to stuff up the count.

The Cowboys need to take some responsibility for this & their season instead of blaming the refs, NRL, the sharks & a conspiracy.

It shits me that players play crap & make mistakes like knock-ons, kicking out on the full, tripping but as soon as a ref makes an error, they are lambasted for it.

If the Cowboys played a (near) faultless game, they would've won.

Read your first line.

Lui did get boot to ball, that is the difference.

How the fug can you confirm he just didn't fluff the kick?
Yeah sure he was trying to kick but so what
It hit the ground .... It looks for all money like he missed timed it too.
Next bloke that drops it cold should kick it after the first bounce a claim he meant it.
Haha...

You sooks should start a petition or a Facebook page or some sad shit.

Not sure how this is relevant as Lui clearly does strike the ball with his foot

He muffed the kick & caused the refs to stuff up the count.
He may have muffed it but the count should not have been stuffed up because of said muff

All of this I can agree with

The referees deserve to be criticised for making such an amateur mistake. I don't blame them for the result though, I've made posts all over this and other forums testifying to that belief.

Doesn't change the fact that it was still a legitimate kick, and the referees did make a mistake in giving 7 tackles.

Benji's foot may have grazed the ball before it bounced, Lui's did not. If the rules say that is ok, fair enough.

My point is, the Cowboys haven't been as blatantly dudded as they maintain.

Anyway, I'm over it. Move on.

Fellas, we can only present the evidence.

I was going to bring up that absolutely farcical bunji "try" from that game in 2011. Refs incompetence in finals games should be no real surprise!

Jeremy smith is a god amongst men & I won't hear you speak ill of him.

lote should have been penalised for trying to use his spine to dislocate smith's kneecaps.
