I got in one at Central a few years back and asked him to take me out to the SFS. The Driver then proceeded to tell me that the SFS was gone and had been replaced by the Stadium at Homebush and that he would take me there. We then had an argument about how stupid that comment was and in the end I told him to take me to the SFS and I bet him the fare that it would still be there and that there was a game on that day. He wasn't too happy when I travelled there for free. Mind you, he nearly killed me on the way there with his crazy driving.

According to the cab driver who took me from Melbourne Airport to the hotel there last week, they have just had a big crackdown down that way on foreign taxi drivers. Apparently, one foreigner would come and get a taxi license and then all of their relatives would use it. No one would ever question them because they looked similar enough. The driver telling me this was from Iraq originally, but he said it was most prevalent amongst people of African and Indian descent. Apparently one guy they busted down there driving a cab had only been in the country for 3 days and it was his first ever time here. He knew how to use GPS so he had no trouble getting around.

I only use cabs when i can't get home from the City because the trains aren't running. By then, i'm usually on the downward spiral due to heavy boozing. I recon if i had a clear mind i'd never use them in that situation and just wait the 2 hours or whatever for the trains to start...

my friend was in a speeding cab on a wet day in the city and the bloke ran the red light, got clipped, spun across the road and ended up straddling a median strip...

Kate gets out, shaken but unharmed and the cabbie goes NO NO NO DON"T GO - I WILL TAKE YOU AFTER I SPEAK TO POLICE.

yess.. because clearly she will be completely fine with getting back INTO your cab you crazy foreign man!

The worst place I've ever been caught in the situation was last year after a Living End concert. Stuck in Hamilton for five hours (waiting for someone from the Central Coast to drive up and pick us up).
Although other than the occasional gunshot it was nice. After a while we decided to go to the hotel and watch darts.

Was teaching a Year 9 class today. A lesson on STI's and sexual health.

One of the girls asked if it was safe to swallow...
