A few years back, he sang it live for an awards night or a tribute show or something along those lines. He was joined out on stage by Usher and then Chris Tucker came out as well and busted a few Michael Jackson moves. Jacko laughed so hard at Tucker he laid down on the stage. It was awesome.

Am I the only one who doesn't care in the slightest about Michael Jackson? Fair enough....

Nah man, count me in.

Not that I hated him, it's just that for the last few years the media + others has happily torn his reputation to shreds and now its all "OMG WE LOVE HIM". This to me is more tragic than his death, he has to die to get positive attention.

I'm just completely indifferent, it's sad when anyone dies, but it happens to us all.

He wasn't just anyone though. He was one of those rare individuals who had the ability to invoke emotions in other's en masse. He was a guy who could do something to make the whole world stop and say "wow". Kind of like the musical equivalent of Greg Inglis to a Rugby League fan or Tiger Woods to a golfer. You think you've seen it all and then Michael Jackson would come out and do something that would top the best thing you've ever seen by a long margin. He was an incredible talent. Like most incredible talents, he was also a strange-o. Seems talent and strangeness go hand in hand.

Same goes for me too mate.

I never really cared for his music and his sideshow antics just got boring over time. I can appreciate that others viewed him differently to me and they have a right to be sad.

I don't want to be one of THOUSANDS that trys to contact him in his last few days, but fmd im going to be inconsolable when 'the inevitable' happens

I well aware of his impact on music and I appreciate everything he's done for the art, despite the fact that his music is far from my thing.

But I'm still indifferent to his death, I find it hard to join the ranks of mourning fans when I was never one of them, and also mocked the sh*t out him and his quirkiness.

it is always sad when things like this happen, but if he hs been sufferring for so long, maybe this is his opportunity to get some peace, knowing that does not make it easier to deal with the loss, but it should make you feel better that he won't be in pain anymore. Sufferring is worse than death (in my opinion anyway)...

I was dead before I was born. I rate suffering higher than the 8billion years I was dead for.
I know what you mean, but I think you misunderstand me. My grandma is quite ill and she has been sufferring for several years, selfishly I want to hang on to her for as long as possible, but sometimes you see how much pain someone you love is in and you really want peace for them. I never thought this myself, but when my grandmother told my "forgive if me if I die" it hurt to hear, because we just don't want her to die, but we do not want her to hurt like this anymore, the lady used to swing from trees and be so happy, but now she finds it difficult to leave her bed and is in constant pain and the sad truth is, that her condition will only get worse ... this is really painful to think about
