Yeah...see a doctor. I was all like "eh, it's only a cold or bronchitis, nothing I've never had before..."

Next thing I know it's made a home in my lungs and is filling them with god knows what while having dirty bacterial sex inside me

It's an infection of the lung...can be caused by quite a few less dangerous infections like bronchitis or the flu. Basically the symptoms are similar to bronchitis (coughing, sore throat, coughing up nasty crap, fever) but worse and including pretty bad chest pain from having fluid in the lungs...
