Used to Rep up in Newcastle and enjoyed every minute of it. When you first go up there looking to sell something, they refuse to give you a go in favour of their mates and God help you if one of your competitors is a local, but after a while, when you get to know them, they afford you the same sort of loyalty. Once you are in up in Newcastle, you are set. Its a typical country mentality. Customers in Sydney will sell you out to the next supplier to walk in the door to save $1.00 but Novacastrians won't shaft you. The other quirky thing about Newcastle is that sales go down when the Knights lose on the weekend. Mine used to especially suffer if they lost to Souths.

We're a special breed, there's no doubt about that ...

Okay, I'm from bogan stock. But a lot of bogans I cannot stand, as they are complete whingers. It's everyone else fault that they are 'poor'.

Yet they have brand new plasma TV's and spend thousands of dollars making modifications to their cars! They don't care what their house looks like as long as they have a 40 inch Plasma and theior car is lowered, Go figure :crazy:.

Nope. The entire focus of that guys life appeared to be drinking, smoking dope, Playstation and Ford vs Holden. If you were into any of those things you were guaranteed a conversation otherwise you may as well have been speaking to him in Mandarin. He truly thought I was a freak because I drove a Holden.

There are Westies and then there are Westies. I was born in the city, raised in the bankstown area but went to school around Parra, moved up the central coast, now live in Merrylands atm. I classify myself as a Westie but when I look at guys like that and hear them called Westies as well, it really makes you wonder.
