The main thing that grinds my gears is they go for youth/experience (take your pick) in game 1. They lose, then they go with the opposite. They lose, then pick youth & say 'we have to stick with this team....'

The thing that grinds my gears is that they pick combinations out in the centres / wing based on cohesion, yet the best wing centre pairing in the comp is overlooked time and time again. Beau Champion and Nathan Merritt have 27 tries between them this year, they are equal first and second on the leading try scorer list and yet neither of them can get a run.

That and they're South Sydney players which means you think they should be there ahead of others.

Personally I think Josh Morris has been outstanding - 8 tries in I think 10 or 11 games in a team that has been inept at best is an amazing effort.

And Soward, FFS, pick him!

Side i'd like to see for game 3 AND game 1 next year

Dugan
Hayne
Lyon
Jennings/Lawrence
B Morris
Campese/Carney/Soward
Pearce
Weyman
Ennis/Farah
King
Gallen
Watmough
Lewis (c)

Bird
Snowden
TLL
Waterhouse/Douglas

Justifications:
-All young(ish) players who have years of football left in them.
-All in correct positions.
-Dugan is a superstar of the future, he will take golden boy's fullback position sooner or later.
-There's actually a prop on the bench, or two if you go with Douglas instead of Waterhouse.
-The best centres in NSW are actually playing. In the centres. How the likes of Jennings, Lawrence, and Morris and even Idris have been overlooked for Cooper, Tahu and Scott is bewildering.
-A young five-eighth, needs to be stuck with.
-Pearce is the best young half in NSW by a fair way imo.
-Bird has better utility value than Gidley, due to being able to play in the second row and actually having some talent.
-Hooker still a bit of an issue. NSW really needs someone to stand up here. Neither Ennis or Farah are anywhere near as good as Buderus, Wing, or their opposite number Cam Smith

Like that side Kungal. Would definately have Farah at hooker though. He adds some extra attack to the side. Will come in handy with a young halves pairing.

No, its not bias. The stats don't lie.

Champion is the best hole runner in the competition and Merritt is just a try scoring freak. Once again, he would be equal top on the try scoring list, if it weren't for that drop ball / brain explosion in game one against the Roosters. He continues to score them and he scores them from anywhere on the park. Last week he got one against the Broncos, trailing up the middle like a fullback. Love him or hate him, you can't deny the bloke is a genius at scoring tries.

The other thing in their favour is that neither of them will be run down from behind. You can't coach speed and both of them have it in spades. Defensively, they may not be the greatest in the comp, but they can hold their own. Offensively, you can guarantee that QLD would pay them the utmost respect because you know that either of them in the clear = try time.

I agree with you about Josh Morris as well. I think he should be considered also. Him and his brother should be the other centre / wing pairing.

You say it's so important to pick the form centres of the comp, yet you omit Tim Mannah when the real problem here is NSW's puff pack?
