my highlighting of these events is in no way criticism of Raper.
As far as I'm concerned I dont think the sharks could be in better hands.

"he was just 40 kg too heavy & 20m too slow"

He was lingering at the 40 mtr mark when carmont had fielded a kick IN GOAL.

The winger ran past him no more than an outstretched arm away, not 30 metres.

Look up FACT in the dictionary and try actually using some of them reefy.

Actually I exagerated with 30 m
it was 10 m
Beattie was the closest & Nutts was cahsing him & carmont & coyuld not get there.
The original miss on Carmont was Bird. Then Vagana. He then left the in goal with nutters in chase & scattered defensive line. Just past teh quarter he offloaded to the winger, who ran in between beatts & Stevo who wass running across from the near side of the field. the winger split them before facing simmons who made a poor attempt & was palmed off. He then ran all the way to the line. Hilder was blocked by a knight & Reick made a valiant attempt to get to him & was making ground but ran out of feild.
If you like, I can look again & lip read what the lady in the 3rd row back from the fence on the half way, a& tell you what she was saying.
Next.

lol

reefy breathes some life into the forum

go son

but maybe it wasnt a mistake by raper - granted it was dangerous - maybe it was a calculated gamble on the defensive abilities of his troops at that time

That's a new angle. Still, I think it was handling that cost us in that period.

Well one thing I think we have seen from Stuey's coaching this year is win or lose he knows there is always room for improvement.

And I'm tipping he doesn't limit that point of view to players only.

"Perhaps Stevo may have had us in better field postion"

Funny reefy, Stevo was one of the tired forwards in the second half AFTER he came back on who failed to make an effort to tackle the rookie winger who scored the 100metre try after recieving the ball from Carmont on the inside......

So, Stevo was interchanged on, and was missed making that tackle.....

how did raper Err by leaving on the bench too long......was he not warmed up enough to make the tackle, is that your point ? or did Stevo get tired and fatigued sitting on the bench, is THAT what you saying ??

Again a nice try to demonstrate your intelligence , but unfortunately, you fall way short of the required minimum to take me on & succeed without embarrassing yourself. But your used to embarrassment I guess.
Stevo should have been on at the start of the half because he had been off for 25 minutes already. (10 half time 15 before)
So what you are saying is that prop forwards should play centres? That they are capable of footing it with wingers & should be able to match them one on one?
Stevo wasn't buggered at all, he was just 40 kg too heavy & 20m too slow.
That was a poor effort by you.
Even you are capable of better than that.
But keep trying Morph.

Jesus ... now I've heard it, I mean read it all.

I know one thing for certain ... he won't take you on and suceed in the inflated ego department, not unless he gets an interchange on anyway.

I totally agree with reefy and was wondering how the hell we still hd changes left when the knights didnt towards the final minutes......and remembered thinking, no wonder we looked tireed during the knight's comeback faze...consider as well we were a bench player short after a few minutes.

I believe it was a glaring error on Raper's part...have 1 left sure!!! but 3? when we were looking tired and struggling towards the end......

If that was a team like the roosters we might have been discussing it in a different light..ie all angry about it.

Sure we won, but reefy's point is very valid..it was an error IMO that shouldnt happen again......and I dont care if the coaching staff arent taking forum advice...this is the place to have a say....no one expects that what we say he is valid to the prgansization....

To add ammunition to the rotation errors argument, yesterday was the warmest July day on record at 25-6 degrees.
nearly summer time.

Of course it would but I still believe the interchange had no influence on them scoring 3 quick tries as Reefy stated. This concept has been further defined when I watched the game again today, in all of those tries the only input bench players had (the people who would be interchanged) was when the Knights got their 109m try and a player ran between Beattie and Stevens who failed to even lay a hand on him. I doubt whether the interhcange would have helped a prop take down a player running at speed who could get past the likes of Simmons & co.

Beattie and Stevo should have at least tried to tackle him.

Both were close enough

Well obviously the starting side was wrong, Sully carved it from the get go! ;-)
Still 26 against - this must improve, otherwise we are making up the numbers.

Good point angry, sureyly rapers arguement that sully is only effective after the first 15-20 mins has been played lost some pull after his hand was forced yesterday ?
