Then Duges signed on and hope revived,
What comes next? Did Flanno lie?
Bring on next year, the inevitable sting,
As Humphrey's forced back to the wing.

Yes, it might hurt, that 700k,
But it'll be forgotten as he streaks away.
But the hardest pill I'll take tonight,
Will be accepting that Reefy was right.
