A loss this weekend could see us out of the eight

We're in 6th and 2 points behind us are Newcastle, Penrith, Bulldogs, Titans and the Raiders.

If we lose to the Roosters....

Bulldogs have the bye which puts us in 7th.
Newcastle play Penrith, whoever wins will drop us to 8th.
If the Raiders win, their F/A is way too low to fault us, we stay in 8th.
If the Titans beat Manly, we're in 9th.

If we beat the Roosters...

We stay in sixth.
If the Titans beat Manly, we jump up to 5th.

Bit of no shit sherlock going on in this post, sure, but every game this time of year is a pretty important one for us...

Whats the big deal being 8th? Oh I forgot , you can still win the comp , which you can't if 9th. Thank God we might make the 8 then. There is a decent chance the Roosters will win the comp this year after missing the 8 last year. If you don't win it coming 5-15th is nothing. I couldn't care if we are 7th, 8th or 9th. I think we were 8th last year and that didn't feel exactly successful. Making the 4 is the proper benchmark. Gives you a chance.

We have a very good team. If we get most of them back on the park & Carney / Fifita maintain their form, we will be a force.
