A Positive

For me, I didn't expect us to get this far in 08. 11th last year so it's been a massive improvement. Not to mention the improvement in some players. They will be all the better for it in 09 plus the players that we have bought.

Pom has slowly but surely developed into a very good centre. Will only get better.

Misi improved as the year wore one. I hope he's with us next year.

Dougy is one of our best each and every week and next year will play origin.

Anderson has really developed into a yop liner plus the versatility of being a backrower and centre.

Gal is, well just Gal but he has improved and will continue to do so as the captaincy becomes 2nd nature to him.

And, we have Weirdo to come back.

All in all, I think 08 has been very good. We achieved far more than I and many others thought.

Bring on 09.

No positives, only positive if you win the comp, we failed we had our chance and players went missing, eg Kimmorley, Ross, Nutley & Covell are origin and internationals, they were close to the worst

I agree Coastal, but we really need to

Develop a half with spark to complement Seymour

Get a decent centre in the 4.

Only if they don't build on it next year. They learnt a lot this year.

Yeah we needed more out of the more experienced guys tonight, but I think it's a long way from a wasted season. Next year's team ought to be better (although we are still slow in the backs) but now at least the younger guys know how good we COULD be..

No, but Ricky and the current squad hardly had the greatest foundations after Anderson and Raper either.

They did better than I expected this year, and hopefully can improve again next year

Don't need to PJ. Buster to 1/2 and Barrett to 5/8. The spark will be there.

Don't get me wrong guys, I'm f*cken very very pizzed off, but I can see positives. I'm sick of losing but as I said a lot of people didn't expect us to get so far with the roster we had. Some fine tuning in 09 and bingo. We need a 4. f*ck we need a 4.

i expected to win the comp this year, nothing less

So did I SSB, but compare our talent to the other top sides. We don't have the cattle across the park and we certainly don't have that X factor player that is required.

We really missed Buster. The options that he offers really showed tonight. Without him we just didn't have the creativity plus some players probably played one of their worst games of the year.

I'm not happy about being flicked tonight but I can see a light. I have seen this light for a lot of years like all dedicated sharky supporters, but I reckon this light is getting brighter and I think that one R. Stuart is the man to bring us our first premiership.

There was no way the Sharks would win the comp, after losing Bird and Seymour. 2009 or 2010 will be look even better with a fully fit team. Believe me the Sharks will be up there again.
I had absolutely no confidence in Kimmorley, thank f**k he is gone.
Green should look for another club.
Relaxing and going on camps is a poor lead up to this sort of game. They should of hardened themselves the f**k up.

Scoring no points hurt. I didnt go to the game, never will for these final games again. Im pretty disgusted at the teams performance by the way.

We had a great and unexpected chance to win our first ever title this year.

The stars and planets were aligning.

But we farked up simple as that - we farked up again. The competition this year was / is up for grabs for whoever is hungriest to take it.

And we were in it up to our necks before last night.

I posted this in the ratings thread

Why bother giving ratings...

Its over red rover.

You dont need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Ball handling farked us completely. The only way we were going to score was to muscle our way over from close to their line. Ye cant do that dropping the pill on the 2nd tackle.

Our attack was crap ...

Our weaknesses came back and snapped us on the arse.

Although Missi gets 10 for the right cross.

But it was just one big disappointment. Hope we all learn from it, players, club, supporters AND THE FARKIN' SELECTORS.

I dont want to sit through another season of relying on our doggard defence and minimal points to win games. We need to be able to score tries from our side of halfway.

But I'd rather have exciting attacking players and come fifth then have another season like this and know we were not good enough and come third.

I assume that that is the master Plan of coach Ricky.. next year... but I know that they won't be fair dinkum if that f**k wit in the #3 still gets picked week in week out.

For me that will be the early bench mark for our season

Cheers
