A test for the judiciary

I know this isn't about Parra, but I'd rather discuss it with the parra supporters :D

We'll get the perfect opportunity to see just how biased the judiciary can be this week.

IF they are fair dinkum, the Roosters are in a bit of bother:

- Ricko's effort was a PRIME example of a head slam. Despite the defense channel 9 is already mounting with Gould and Sterlo leaping to his defense, Ricko should be gone for several weeks for that....which means no preliminary final and no Grand Final for Ricko.

- Finch certainly dropped schifcofske on his head....I'd say a certain 1 match suspension for anyone who is not the referees boss' son.

HOWEVER - I think we probably know what will happen - Rorters will call in all their favours from their mates. :roll:

I only saw each once
i think ricketson was perhaps a slight head slam and if he was to be charged i think he will get no more then a week

Finch was likewise and id say a week as well, but most likely with the rooster judiciary his good record will mean he only has 98 points and will be free to be next match

IN the paper some time this week they had cases where players were suspended during finals. Some were up to 6 weeks. Roosters wont cop anything.

Ricko had his hand on hte guys throat (actually ended up with his hand on his chin) and swung him to the ground very forcefully - the guy was knocked half stupid by the impact....if that is not a headslam then what is?....I don't think I'd consider it slight.

Did you hear Goose Gould tho

Ricketson - That was not a head slam
Finch - Schifcofske took a dive towards the ground

Get Hadley and Gould in a room and then tell George Dubbya that Osama is in there and let him blow it to hell.

Ricketson and Finch should both cop time. If they don't... well, I guess none of us would be at all surprised would we? :roll:

So will Steve Price and Willy Mason both get done for striking? Hopoate and Stapleton both got suspended.

Well Stapo got off.....but part of Hoppa's suspension was for fighting as he was the instigator....But I certainly see your point.

BUT, remember that the ref actually penalised the cowboys player for giving Mason a little push which Mason then went off his nut about :lol: :lol: :lol: .....my god there r some dopey refs.

AND according to the NRL and channell 9, butter wouldn't melt in Steve Price's mouth....he is one of hte protected species in the NRL

Ricko's was ok in my mind, not much malice in it. The 'taking a dive' comment by Gould was off though in regards to Schif though. The Roosters just can't do anything wrong in his book. Definate spear tackle.

Malice or not, he still slammed his head on the ground, and had him round the throat/neck, and his hand ended up on his face. The guy was in Disneyland for some time. Not good.

Gould's mad. It was a bad head slam and he had his hand around his neck.

Finch's tackle was far worse than the one Witt was suspended for in the game v Newcastle.

I expect neither to be charged though.

Maliced notwithstanding:

* Ricketson's shot was a headslam

* Finch's tackle was dangerous

* Walker should have been suspended for acting like a girl.

Alas, the Chooks are a protected species.

Roosters will do anything to get those players off. They'll get Gould, Finch (Robert), Harrigan in the hearing and try and appeal the suspension. And then come up with some lame excuse, oh he had amnesia and he has a clean record.

As for Chris Walker, he shouldve been suspended last week for acting like a girl.

I've just left Bondi and heard the Roosters excuse

SChifcofske got awarded 2 pts during the year that should've gone to Finch meaning he would've won the DAlly M and Schifcofske refused to give Finch the points so this was thew result

Finch SHOULD get two weeks and with his good record he'll miss one week for pleading guilty. They won't challenge it because they won't risk losing him for the Grand Final should they make it.

The Ricketson tackle, to me honestly did not look that bad until it was slowed down. Played at normal speed it was worthy of the penalty and the report. His hand was near his throat however the initial impact had more to do with it IMO then his hand. He could end up with a week but we can only wait and see.

What about Hodges?
He punched McLinden in the head right about 2 tackles before the Roosters scored their first try. If you saw, McLinden wasn't in the defensive line, he was being attended to by a trainer. Surely the incident will at least be reviewed??

Ricketson SHOULD have a case to answer, there is NO DOUBT he had his hand on the guys throat and then chin as the guys head hit the ground. I thought it was originally ok, but on replay saw that it was a clear head slam. I do not think the original impact knocked the guy out - he was still moving his head in the tackle AFTER the initial hit - not until his head was smashed into the turf did he remain motionless!
