Your absolutely right.
It just I'm not alone on this crusade.
Unlike kimmorley, I know when to take a back seat & let skill, craftmanship & anger take over.
Go get em SS!!

But I wish he would STFU!!

Bailey is a boof head and is (trying ) to say what his manager has told him to say.
I blame his manager for filling his head with this bullsh!t....Money thats all these T-nucs want!

If he had of substituted the name Bailey instead of Kimmorley blacktip-reefy would of said:
Bailey better keep his big trap shut or he will be in breach of contract.
All players have been warned meticulously about saying absolutely anything to the media about the coaching situation at the sharks.

Thereya millers

Jimbo, you have summed it up well, Bailey only wants confirmation of who he will be working for before re-signing with the club.

He is basically suggesting that if Anderson is NOT at the sharks, then bailey has no reason to stay.

I prefer the players that pull on the blue black and white to have a little more clubmanship and passion for the club than that thank you very much.

Bailey will be a Shark next season - but he'll have a lot more money to spend at Northies......this is all a game.. Cronulla has the salary cap to pay ...St George doesn't...

I think St George may be travelling a bit better than people think :)

They offloaded a lot of baggage and went into the market for bargains with Nathan Long perhaps being the biggest name they signed.

When they offload more for 2005, like Barrett, they'll be flush with cash.

Barrett ain't going anywhere guys. He'll be a Dragon for a long time.

As for "flushed with cash", they aren't doing any better than we are.

Who have they lost? They signed a thousand new players and yeah they might be no bodies but still they signed a lot. Oh and the bloke from the West Tigers is who they signed would be their biggest.

Plus their big star players all had to take pay cuts and they will also have to put money away for Firman. I really don't think they can fit a NSW/Aus rep into their team without losing one decent player.

As far as i can see Bailey didn't say anything remotaly bad about the club in that article. We can see that he has loyalty to ando, but that is to be expected, ando did take him from an ordinary club player to a NSW and Aussie reprosentative. But he hasn't said anything unclubmen like or even said that he is definately going to leave. All he has said is that he wants to see what is happening at the club next year before he signs a new contract, and that as far as I am concerned is understandable.

Ian Donnelly (Manly), Dean Byrne (Souths),Craig Stapelton (Parramatta), Chris Leikvoll (Warrington), Steve Southern (Nth Qld), Mark Dalle Court (Nth Qld), Amos Roberts (Panthers), Hassan Saleh (Released), Nathan Tutt (Released), John Wilshere (UK), Chris Nero (UK), Keiran Kerr (Released), John Cross (Retired)

Is who they've lost, that I know of. Like the blokes they bought, not many superstars there but this list far outweighs the incoming list in terms of cash and first grade experience.

And people still can't get into their head that you don't need a lot of money up front to sign a player.

e.g They can say to Bailey we'll give you $600,000 over 3 years.

They then structure the payments so that he may get only $100,000 for year 1 then $250,000 each for years 2 and 3 or $200,000 for year 2 and $300,000 for year 3.

There's a myriad of ways to structure a contract but we get stuck on what the media tells us a player gets.

And I thought Lance Thompson was the only one to take a pay cut. Saints have money, don't worry about that.

The only way bailey will not be at the saints is if
Ando doesn't get the bullet.
Sharks offer him the same as what the saints will(money might not have)
He just decides to stay becasue he loves cronulla so much.

If the dragqueens have money why would Thompson need to take a pay cut? Maybe he is getting paid a million dollars in his professional boxing career? Is this the dragqueens way of beating the salary cap? We'll put our players up against no-names in the boxing ring, they get paid heaps and the dragqueens beat the salary cap. I know they are a low bunch but not even that lot would go for that. Whats next?/ Sign Anthony Mundine. Hang on there may be something to it.

I know how contracts work over the years Frenzy but I doubt that Bailey would get 100 grand for next year. If there was 100 grand left over it would have gone on blacklocks, timmins, gasiners and co. And even if they did Bailey the boof head would want more than 100 grand. He made two rep teams this year and after years of being just another player I'm sure he is dying to get his hands on some bling bling.

Also they have signed way more than they have brought in and that Withers bloke would have set them back a weeee little bit more than people think. If the "Cashed up" Tigers couldn't keep him Withers then the drags must have put in a decent offer.

And if he Bails wants to play under a good coach wouldn't he be better playing for a little less than the drags offer and going to the roosters  . I'm sure they could fit him in.

like I said previously, the Dragons are cashed up & ready to make purchased for 2005 & onwards. Hence, they are definitely under the slary cap that was set in 99, but likely to rise by 10-20% over the next few seasons.

They want to be under their 99 salary cap BTR. It was $8 million. Today its the same as everyone elses unless Barrett's contract is still going. Then its the same as everyone else plus barrett.
