BP is doing a good job. If a premiership comes along under his tenure, then he would have accomplished what others have never been able to.
& he will deserve all of the accolades from everybody. Along with the board.
I even think now that hiring Anderson has been a blessing. A fundamental figure in the wellness of the club. Of course , for the wrong reasons.

Board has my support (not that it counts for a whole lot anyway).

Greg Pierce cant be judged on last seasons performance too much. The recruitment/coaching issues were all made mostly under sludge and he had little time to prepare.

The main issues of this year he handled perfectly.

Latu Incident: Marvilously managed by all involved. We even got plaudits from the NRL for the way we handled it.

Pissing in Pub: Was almost a non issue. Other clubs would have been lynched.

Raper: Overwhelming public opinion to have him sacked and it was done. Cost the club a bit in a payout but what other option was there.

Sticky: Sticky didnt have to work next season. He had a big payout and could have waited for a easier and more desirable post. Something must be in someway right for him to have came and not just huge $$$$$$. Hell even if it was huge $$$$ isnt a lot coming from outside sources??

Not really a fan/detractor of the board because I honestly have no idea what they do, how they do it etc.

Was impressed that they kept the Hilly thing as quiet as they did. Probably got some help in the fact that it was the off season though.

There is always someone better - thats a given in life. But we all work in life towards sucsession.

Greg had worked under Richo, and under Sludge - done his time. They had faith in his capabilities.

Yet the club didnt give applicants the chance.

Succession

Why???

Beause it made sense.

Oh, thats why. Because Daddy got him the job.

Remove the last name for a second - does someone who has worked their way up deserve a chance through loyalty and knowledge become a viable option.

Barry Pierce was not the only advocate in this case due to his name sake - the board were the advocate due to his performance, so they rewarded his efforts and gave him a shot.

If he fails - then so be it. But to condemn him, especially after the people that have worked and assisted him to this eventual role holds enough water in itself.
