He’s got balls as big and round as his head. Not surprised but he’s walking a bloody tightrope with no net.

That reserves list reads like "these are the guys that will be taking your spots if you don't aim up this week".
Fitz is being loyal, if there is one more average performance, for the rest of the season, I feel he has to let loyalty go.
He's his own man and he has to live by his decisions.

That’s fair enough, to a point.
But three of the past five performances have been sub-par to abysmal.
I would have thought warnings were given out prior to last weekend.

Time will tell if you’re right.

Oh don't worry, if I was in his position there would have been subtle changes weeks ago.
But I'm not, it's his call and I guess he's hoping that the players give it all this week.
If they don't then they are obviously not playing for him, and that's an even bigger problem.

The players have a chance for an easy redemption against a dud side like Canterbury.

I also wonder about salary cap considerations, whether replacing an underperforming establishment player(s) would tip us over the salary cap limit, through additional expenditure on replacement players. As we've observed no one has been dropped, new players only enter the team when injury demands it..

Would have been interesting to see what Fitz did if Royce didn’t get injured. The obvious in was Hazelton for Wade. I suspect he wouldn’t have done it.

The team has had half the season to get their combinations ,game plans ,defence and offence right . When fresh they can Attack great , Defence ?apart from an enthusiastic first few minutes last week , defence through the middles and later all over, just capitulated . You would think coach would start working on the squad he wants for next year, That gives them half a season to be ready to start 2024 ready to rip and tear . (providing they get a Wildman prop in meantime ,as well.) Just wondering if Fitzs bigger problem than handling Players is Handling the Management, something assistant coaches dont have experience at.

I admire his loyalty but will be extremely pissed off at his stubbornness if they dish up another insipid performance regardless of result.

If there are no consequences to missing 10 tackles and giving away 3 penalties, when your replacement had another blinder in reggies then it's fair to question his decision making.

Tracey and Trindall tore it up in Reggie’s.

Have tore it up when given a chance.

But can’t get a gig after two losses including an absolute spanking.
