I'd say baby steps on the recruitment and retention front. End of 2020 will be a different story though when we have half the squad off contract. I expect some major culling if the team doesnt aim up and grow a set of balls next season.

Personally I'd like to see a real badass MF added to the team. We're seriously lacking in the alpha male dept. Klemmer and Barny are our only borderline badasses but not lunatic enough for my liking.

Actually the whole game has gone soft....but thats another story. I sometimes forget its 2019.

This is pretty revealing but not unexpected:

I really want us to become a miserly team this year and make opposition teams to have to work really hard to beat us. The biggest problem over the last decade is that we let our opposition do it all a bit too easily at times. Canberra’s defence was what got them to the GF this year and they really turned it around after being pretty soft in that area in previous seasons so this gives me hope that we can make a similar turnaround in our defensive resolve.

When you are on the field, the opposition is the enemy. You want to hurt them with every tackle or run. You want them to think twice about running or tackling you in the future. If they are mad enough to accept the challenge ie: Mark SPUD Carroll then so be it.

As for embracing opposition players and that shit, they are the enemy.
