If we're intent in letting Benji go, I'd rather Brooks than Reynolds.

Brooks looks sharper and has more of an x factor (and is likely to have a break out season soon). We already have the steady calming half in Widdop, Reynolds doesn't really add much different.

Brooks is a complete dud.
Meanwhile Reynolds has won a grand final, is likely to be the next NSW half and pretty much kicks goals with his eyes closed.

No to Brooks and Reynolds. Reynolds has a good kicking game, but the pack he was behind when they won the GF is better than what we can offer - and he will get found out. He doesn't run the ball, he very rarely throws a line break....He has a great kicking game, and can kick goals....but no thanks.

Im very surprised people are so quick to dump on Hutch....He has only played 2 games. I reckon he will be good. Benji this year, then Hutch after that

Mate, plenty of young halfs are weak defensively in the first few years, as they are targeted. Benji was crap defensively when he was younger. Soward and even Thurston the same (it's why the Dogs let him go).

Brooks just turned 21 and has 45 games under his belt already. And he's playing in a basket case of a club which hasn't helped.

Don't be surprised if he comes good, especially if he ends up in a better environment .

Do the maths, work at value for money, remaining career and for me Reynolds is the answer as all rounder value who is also an excellent goal kicker..

I know Reynolds is a good player but I'm just thinking about how he would complement Widdop long term. To me they have a lot of similar attributes. Doesn't mean they wouldn't go well as a pairing , but someone like Brooks would bring something extra to the table.

Dragons was just getting back at the Roosters making them up his price. I have heard as recent as last Monday contrary to most on here that Reynolds to Storm, Cronk to Dragons. I wish that to come true. Others dont. Reynolds is young but attacking skills are way below Cronk and not what we need in the short term.

Correct..would prefer Reynolds for Long term, but Cronk would also be great. Souths fans seem to be confident they have Cronk, so the concern is Reynolds could easily end up at the Storm and we miss out.
