Ok, reckon we should sort out numbers, supplier, cost and where to send dosh

Well the first thing we need to do is find out how many we want made so we can get quotes from some suppliers, I count 5 plus 1 at under $50. So we need to raise numbers to at least 20-30 jerseys before it is feasible to get the jerseys at a realistic price.

Maybe we should talk to GAZF about which supplier he would like to make the jerseys also, it is his design after all so we don't want to inadvertently offend him by sending them to be made by a manufacturer he does not like or he feels will ruin the design in any way.

I would definitely be in for a Pandas jersey (I think the alternative one is the best) and would buy one for sure.

There's ways around that. Even if the SARL refuse/can't let us use there logo then it's no big deal we'll just put something else on there that means something to South Australian Rugby League history like the Rams logo for example.

Even a "League Unlimted: Developing States Program" logo would look cool. Another for Tassie, and we'd have a potentially sweet annual game.

If we did one for Tassie, we should start a LU Annual Pre Season competition. Have a chat to Grant and see if he'll let us play as the curtain raiser to the Charity Shield. We could call it the 'Community Cup' and pick two teams from this forum to compete in it.

We could even do commentary for it. Stick Willow and Timmah in the commentary box and let them go for gold.

BTW, I realise it's slightly delusional to think it will happen, but the idea is good and dipping the toe in the water is fairly harmless.

Maybe we could get the game at Belmore even; support local grounds. Or Leichart. Or Kogarah. The humour value alone of having LU forummers smashing each other in tackles would be worth it.

Gaz are you to do a white version of the bamboo jersey? The bamboo gets lost in the black.

I'll spend half a day on it this weekend. We need to decide what jersey would be made.

As I said in the Jerseys thread I'm up for a white jersey.

In regards to the game maybe you could aim to do as the AFL does with their annual celebrity & former players game.. But with more of a mixture of LU members, perhaps a max 3 star players per team..

Needs a rival team though, perhaps we could pool a group of names & colour combinations & have a vote on it..

I think the white alternate looks the best and I'd preferone of those, but I'd be happy to get a yellow one if that's which one was chosen.

I'm also in for one of the white secondary jerseys.

As for the Charity game, I know a couple of ex Raiders. If you get the game up I could talk to them about helping out with getting some of there old team mates to play on the teams.

The charity game is a bit crazy, but here's some ideas anyway.

Don't play the game in Sydney or Brisbane play it in a developing area such as Perth, Adelaide or Melbourne. Also as has already been discussed have two developing areas represented by the teams playing, for example the Pandas vs the Pirates.

Get as many current/ex players as possible to play in the game and fill the left over spots on the teams with as many celebrity's as possible otherwise the game will look like a joke to the media and the last thing these developing areas need is to look like a joke.

Get a few ex AFL players to play if possible, purely to drum up media and local interest.

Well there's my take on it anyway. The first thing I would do is contact the WARL because they seem to be open to this sort of thing recently.

For publicity, could you get Roy and HG onto it? Seems like their sense of humour...
