Personally I love it here. I live north of the city up near the hills and vineyards..

Great part of the world. I'm from the north east originally.

As a city, it’s small but plenty to do. Think something akin to Newcastle as somewhat of a comparison. And if you go out on the town, the bouncers welcome you in, not treat you like your a criminal for wanting to enter. They treat you like adults, not criminals. Lock out laws?? Pfft..

In the convict colonies, they've got every reason to be so suspicious of everyone.

Within half an hour drive of the city you are in the Adelaide hills, and vineyards. And it reminds me of where and when I grew up in the 70/80’s of the Sutherland shire. Shops shut at 5pm on weekends too.

20 minutes east of the city and you're in the hills, 20 minutes west and you're at the beach. Why have it any other way?

To quote another of my favourite films.. Pulp Fiction.. like Vincent Vega describing his trip to Amsterdam..

And the Adelaide Oval is my favourite sporting venue in the country. Anyone who is considering coming over for origin, you’ll have brilliant days in the vineyards, brilliant nights in the city, and an awesome venue for the best sporting event on the calendar year..

Without a doubt I'll be there. Only a short walk away from the casino and other night spots too.

I believe you'll find Tasmania are actually the failed Victorians.
Unlike the convict colonies of the east, South Australia was Australia's first free colony.
