look at the topics at the bottom that are supposed to be related to it

wtf has it got to do with Rugby League and why is AFL not listed?

it's even listed in Rugby League news by the AFLBC http://www.abc.net.au/news/topic/rugby-league

The story underneath that one is reported very differently:

League player Patrick Vaivai fined over involvement in Brisbane brawl

Former Newcastle Knights rugby league player Patrick Vaivai has been fined $850 for his involvement in a Brisbane brawl and for obstructing a police officer.

He pleaded guilty to one charge of affray and obstructing a police officer in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.

The court heard he was involved in a brawl on Boundary Street in West End last October.

Defence lawyer Nick Hanly told the court Vaivai, 23, was due to play for the Gold Coast Titans this year.

However after the hearing the club issued a statement saying they had no agreement with him.

"Mr Vaivai is not associated with this club, has no agreement with this club and we have made no offer to the player, or his manager, for him to join our squad," the statement said.

Mr Hanly said his client believed he was singled out by security guards while he was drinking because of his size and stature.

He said Vaivai argued with the guards and admitted he should have walked away.

Mr Hanly said Vaivai was co-operating with police when his co-accused started pushing officers.

When the brawl took place, Vaivai had just signed to the Canberra Raiders.

The court heard his contact with the Raiders was torn up as a result of the charges.

Vaivai must also perform 40 hours of community service.

Its f*ck typical that they consider this to be a "good moment" for the VFL...

A player being racially abused by a stadium of fans is not something to be proud of

"AFL" not mentioned:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-05-24/hawthorn27s-brad-hill-charged-with-assault/7442938

Hawthorn's Brad Hill charged with assault after pre-season altercation

Hawthorn's Brad Hill has been charged with assault following an investigation into an incident from January 24.

"Bradley has kept the club informed throughout this entire process. The leadership group has already met on this matter and has decided that no sanction will be applied at this stage," Hawks GM of football operations Chris Fagan said.

"The matter is now before the court and any sanction is in the hands of the judicial system."

Hawthorn said Hill has fully cooperated with police, and informed the club of the incident at the time.

The alleged incident occurred in Narre Warren in Melbourne's south-east, and a 21-year-old man was treated for minor facial injuries.

Australian Story, tonight 8pm.

Lovely puff on the women revolutionising AFL.

Meanwhile, still don't give the Jillaroos the time of day.

It was quite a wonderful advertisement for the game. They looked far more coordinated and athletic than the men.

No, I didn't watch it, but it couldn't be any worse than the vfl

NRL fans whinge like the NRL are victims of some conspiracy.
Our code is just dumb and cannot play the media game very well.

We need to get better at this by, for example, inviting them to participate in our annual awards night currently run by one butt hole faction of the media.

Have a look around this forum and tell me there's no bias against league and for AFL in the media.

Then tell me what "we" are supposed to do beyond pointing it out.

There is a bias. The AFL created it. They work the media "crowd" like politicians....as if they are motivated to become the biggest code in the country.

The NRL is always at least a step behind.

Lets start by emailing the NRL and demanding that they invite the ABC and Fairfax media to our annual awards night (maybe even channel 7 executives) and give them all guest of honour status.
Then have Greenberg get their phone numbers and invite the women out for a day with Katie Page getting a free hair style and shampoo (or whatever) and the men spend the day with Russell Crowe and go get pissed at his place in Coffs Harbour - or some shit thing like that.
Then a week later, repeat, repeat, repeat....introduce them to some other Rugby League people. Network.

I think our friend from the diamond league should be concerned about a current GWS player and two former officials ,now up sh*t street without a paddle ,on sidestepping a drug test.

It's in the Australian today.

Amazing how it was hidden from view during the final series.AFL carpets are everywhere.

Each fumbler club must be issued with a new carpet and new broom, each season by Gil the Great.
