Play for Italy. Play for Lebanon. Play for USA. No problem. Play for Samoa.

Hayne, Minicello, Moses played for these minnows and qualified for Origin. I never had a problem with that.

Not NZ. Not UK.

NZ and UK don't need assisting. So Origin isn't a magic bullet which fixes a problem those two nations are facing. Those two nations don't need our 2 state Origin. It is utterly separate to them. So to steer the Origin eligibility question by saying "..but what about so and so. He blah blah blah", doesn't need to be done. The question doesn't need to be asked. The concept suffers not for things being as they are.

So why the F are a few steering us where we do not need to go?

I didn't mind Tamou because he had all the impact of a powder puff and played for the Blues.

As soon as anyone laid a hand on him he dived for the turf. Great asset for QLD.

All good, you're essentially a parody with a helping of hypocrisy on this issue so I'll make like Homer back through the trees and leave you to it.

Great rant, but this new rule would change nothing of that ... unless of course you think that Origin is somehow less now because of the PI eligibility rule?

Anyway, Origin representation has always been iffy, Foran has spent most of his life in NSW and played the majority of his junior league in Manly yet has never been eligible for NSW, meanwhile Tamou came to NSW as a teenager to attend a sports school, played Junior Kiwis and then NSW and Australia. That's the beating heart of Origin?
Tamou wouldn't be eligible under the current rules though (right?)
