Really? all of the Aussie converts haven't been able to stop the ABs from scoring against the wannabes.Kangaroos would beat the AB's - their defense is too strong
Hard to do that when they don't have any ball. The kangaroos would be penalized out of the game.If the rules are from the Hybrid Rugby site then there's no way Union forwards would keep up with the 10 metre rule. Kangaroos would score a ton from their own half.

No they aren't the strength, but they aren't that far short. I have no idea which team would win a mythical hybrid rules game but to suggest its a forgone conclusion is idiocy. Its been a decade since you could comfortably say that League players had the superior skills and fitness.I guess it all comes down to how the rules are structured. Guys like Folau and Hunt are not the steength of the Kangaroos team it is Slater, Thurston, Cronk and Smith off the back of a quality forward pack and league defense structures are generally better pribably because of the 10m rule

And when was the last time you watched a full strength All Blacks team play? In your opinion they may do. However the only evidence to compare the players is those who have switched codes. None of which showed anything more than their Rugby counterparts. What is the problem with saying league players have superior skills and fitness?
I would say union players have superior scrummaging skills, size and probably better at kicking. Fitness wise it’s no contest to league players, the game ensures that. From what I have seen the league players have superior rugby skills and are far superior defensively.
Seems a farce in the making.
If I were the all blacks I would just wait 5 metres my own side of half way whenever the Kangaroos got the ball.
If the all blacks got the ball deep in their own end all they have to do is run it twice and kick and repeat the above strategy. Effectively, rugby would be the only game played.

Burges was crap and selected on reputation in a team that didn't even make it out of their WC group. Folau in a team that haven't won a series against the ABs in over a decade and SBW took several years before he made it, and as only a substitute for most of that. Benji lasted 6 games before he was back in League in First Grade.Yep! SBW, Hunt (FFS), Folau, Burgess amongst others just walz into top international union teams usually in their first couple of seasons playing the game. There are many more examples of lower profile players getting international jerseys that are nothing more than solid NRL first graders.
On the other hand - there wouldn't be many union stars that would walk into a Kangaroos jersey - even the AB players if they came to play league.

The all blacks would easily win. When attacking the try line it is union rules so the kangaroos would not have a hope in hell.
And none of them are the All Blacks. The ABs have had the best defense in Rugby for a very long time, and have not had a single League coach. Other teams are still a long way from being "professional" and are taking their queues from a much more professional code.I guess we'll have to agree to disagree - for every Benji there are 100 league players that sleep their way into union teams and union clubs clamour over league coaches to be on their staff for defense especially. I think we can both agree though that the Kangaroos and All Blacks are the elite of their respective sports and a 7's or 9's game would be interesting - probably still wouldn't prove anything either way though.
Exactly, the kangaroos would dominate under League rules and the ABs would dominate under Rugby rules. Just proves they are better at their respective codes.I think that is why this game will never happen. If you think about it - the Kangaroos would go nowhere (and probably not retain possession once they cross half-way) and if the AB's cross half way, they could probably retain possession but the Kangaroos defensive line is not going to be troubled when not having to retreat 10 metres so it could be a bit of a stale-mate bore fest.
What about the parts of the game not involving scrums, line outs and such, what do they do then?
