I wonder how we will honour Stacey Jones' retirement here in NZ as some of the commentators had mentioned.

Great game btw, Alis 2nd try was one of the best ever.

Now that my friend is the million dollar question. This is where he started, so this is where it should all end.
I'm all in favour of a Charity, or farewell game. Not a dinner where the fans have to pay through the pocket just for a table.

Walker Park, Pt Chev....that's where he started.

That may well be where it ends.

I just hope gets some sort of advising role at the Warriros.....

Surely big Ali has to come into the Test squad?

I quite like the idea of his final game of footy being in the game comemorating the 1st international match. Sort of a handing over the guard from some of our greats, Jones and Wiki.

It was just awesome to see that this morning. To see Stacey Jones again, hell, I was even happy to see Toopi. And Jones' send off at the end was magic. And the fact Wayne Bennett & Steve Price were there was outstanding.

It makes you happy to put up with NZ Sport for a little longer (League is all that matters anyway). Thank you, All Golds.

He actually started with Ponsonby-Maritime although Pt Chev was his 'main' junior club. I can recall training and playing at Walker Park as a kid. The good old Pt Chev Pirates!

Now THAT was a celebratory game! Makes up a little for the previous week, that game and post match Haka for our Jones boy is a keeper.

Hats off to Bennett as well- a lot of Non Bronco league fans don't think much of him- And he's an enigmatic bugger, man of few words and seems dour at times- But players that get coached by him just rave about him and don't have enough good words for him.

When Pricey's been shown up by his team mates you know the whole teams gone well! Well done buys, top marks to all of them. Going to have fond memories of this game for a long time, and I think it will get replayed often! Here's a good motivational tool for the upcoming tour: Play the last two Sunday games in a row! Forget the scoreline, the difference in Passion & pride is what I loved.

My thoughts of this match were a festival type game. But how physical was it. Unbelievable.

They looked more comfortable and organised and defianitly had the Wayne Bennett affect after spending a week with him.

Players to impress
Perritt who played well all game
SKD especially in the first half
Dear i say it ol Thomas played good. I was cursing him when his first kick found the fullback on the full but aftervthat he played well. I think it helped having Stacey there.
even Wiki played well

But to me Ali was the best Kiwi on the park. Lui had a greeat 1st half but Ali looked hungry and surely has to be considered as Kidwells reoplacement.

Also the Northern Union has to be considered lucky not to finish the game with 11 players for those 2 high shots. The first 1 would have been a 100% send off in the NRL even in a normal test it would of been off.

Question

Is Solomona injured or just not being considered

I think you hit the nail on the head there. I watched a few of Thomas's club games and haven't been impressed.
