Seriously Brett, how can you mistake Slipknot and COF?

It's an insult to Cradle, who are a very decent band (albeit not in the same league as your Norwegian black metal bands).

Aside from that, they're metal while slipknot are nu-metal.

Or in other words, talent v lack of.

i thought they were too but there new sound is even harder than before

and i dont think you can call COF just metal , metal is pantera,old school metallica,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest
i think cof are more goth metal or death metal

When I went to Google images and punched in Slipknot the first thing that came up was Slipknot unmasked and that's the photo it showed me.

Either way on their bonus DVD on the CD you see them anyway and they're all pastey funny boys.

Surprise surprise, people........they deleted my thread 'Do Slipknot devalue Kíds Esteem?'at their website.

They were a real picky bunch sensitive about the truth.

Either way I'm done with this sh*t anyway.

It's safe to say that I won't be buying any new CD's in the future as it's all rubbish.

No originality.

I'll stick to watching my Rockford files and reading my hard to find novels from across the globe.
I just can't seem to connect to anybody these days.
You're all smart arses and would benefit from a bullet to the head.

I'm sick of peoples bullsh*t anyway.

There's no point in trying to befriend anybody online as they're all cowards hiding under a umm alter personalility.

I tried to help them and make them see the way but they didn't want a bar of it.

Tip for St Brett: Go out and buy "The Maniacal Vale" or "Subconscious Dissolution into the Continuum" by Esoteric and listen to it for a few hours.... you'll probably kill yourself and spare us any more of your sh*t-dribbling rants.

(anyone who's into seriously heavy funeral doom should definitely get said albums too, as they're f**king awesome, some of the darkest, heaviest stuff I've ever heard.... but it's for serious doom fans only, slooooow tempos and somgs that are 15-20 minutes long!)

If you want t put it that way, Metallica are more thrash than "pure metal".

And there's more to metal than just being "hard" - some metalcore bands are harder than some black metal bands, but they're still not metal.

I went to their site, as per St. Brett's request. And it puzzled me for a number of reasons:

* One bloke posted a review of the CD from a site called metalsucks.com...See any holes there?

* That same poster proceeded to label Slipknot as "hardcore death meal"....

* All over the site they refer to Slipknot's latest as metal simply because it's heavy and angry....Someone should play them some Opeth and teach them a thing or two about sublime music.

I've woken up and it's taken me so long to realise that every entertainers message is bullsh*t just to exploit young minds with nonsense for financial gain.

And like I said...I think a lot of those fans would derive a lot of benefit from slugs to their heads.

I kind of enjoy bands where the singer can actually sing as well as scream.. Screaming sounds much better as a feature to a song rather than the entire song being one giant scream. The whole sound of slipknot is awesome, they do after all have one of the best drummers going around..

and opeth? they sound like friggen simon and garfunkle

I bought both Slipknot and Dragonforce's new album and to be quite honest, it's the same $hit from each band recycled yet again. I have 4 Slipknot albums and a couple of DVD's and that's enough for me, I am officially over them, this is the straw that broke the camels back. They are still trotting out the Nu-metal sh*t (the DVD that comes with this album is deadset woeful) and whilst the Dragonforce boys are talented as hell, be funked if it sounds any different to the previous album (I still love Sonic Firestorm).......Coupled in with the apparent woeful production that seems to be going to be coming out on the new Metallica album as well....I was really looking forward to Spetember/August 08.......................Really depressing hey. Though I hear Lamb Of God have started to write their new one, I pray that isn't a let down as well.
