Not a fan of the current format. The idea of dividing teams up on the basis of race has never sat well with me. It's a form of sporting apartheid that only seeks to highlight differences.

However, by all means we should keep the concept of a pre-season exhibition match where fans can pick the teams online and there is rule experimentation. But the current format and purpose of the All Star game needs reviewing.

We have the All Stars game because the indigenous players wanted a team of their own. And why shouldn't they?

I like it and so do a lot of other people according to the massive TV ratings.

The simple fact that we can select an indigenous side with the depth that can match it with a strong aussie/kiwi/GB whatever side is a celebration for the game, showcasing it's historical inclusiveness and leadership in reconciliation....to those here and abroad, crossing over sports boundaries.

Enjoy and encourage the glow lads.....

I would prefer a World 7s or 9s event that could feature the indigenous side along with NSW and QLD.If they must have the game I would prefer it to be NZ Maori v Aust Indigenous .Let the 2 native peoples of the conutries that make up the NRL kick off the season.

f**k the All Stars. JWH being replaced by Jennings has changed my mind. f**king f**kwits.

What the f**k is the point of fan involvement if signings are going to cause such disruptions. Case in point I voted for both Jennings and JWH, but if they were both Roosters at the time, I'd have told Jennings to suck a dick.

It's preposterous that the best voted Roosters player is going to lose out because of a late signing. You might as well not bother with the voting process. Because lets be honest, the only reason any of us were voting for JEnnings is because the Panthers are an absolute, certified joke, and none of their other players are worth a damn.

I seriously doubt Jennings would have won the vote if he was with the Roosters 6 months ago.

Bullshit.

To be fair mate, the situation with Jennings moving this late in the preseason is a rare one and not likely to happen very often. To my knowledge this is the 1st time since the All-Star concept was introduced that it has happened.

I think youre over reacting a tad

Ordinary poll options. I would've voted for the 3rd, except I love the cricket season (I'm a heterosexual man), so I voted option 1.

I'll watch it, but I don't give a stuff who wins. Much like the charity shield, it starts to get me pumped about the season ahead. Also we get to see some combinations we would never get to see (Aussies playing with kiwis from different club sides), which is plus.

DO NOT CARE.

I'll put it on and probably watch 45 minutes of it then watch reruns of Lassie on Channel 11.

Do people on this forum seriously not like cricket...

How bad is the ADD fellas.

Once the Sydney test is finished I start looking forward to footy. Love the test matches but don't really like the canary yellow sh!t with the stupid rules. 50 over cricket is like a 20 minute footy game. They hardly get started. Having said that I'm looking forward to the game today because tennis sux lol.

In a way the problem with the all stars footy game is the same as ODI's for me. They change the game too much. Once they add 3-4 players to each bench and change 3-4 rules it isn't the same game. And the players never play together or train so we know the quality of the actual game will be low. What we are left with is to appreciate the concept and look forward to the coming season.

what I find rediculous is how some of the Indidgenous players qualify, bliney Bird is whiter than me, and is you look up Indidgenous up in the dictionary it say "of that land" news flash I was born here so am of this land therefore I am indidgenous.

but lastly, learn, earn, legend, now thats sad, I went to school got a job so now I am a legend, surely it takes more to be a legend than to get a job. sadly this is legendary status in the aboriginal comunity, now everyone crucify me

I enjoy the game because the footy is back

I don't see it as being racist at all, because it's a celebration of Aboriginal culture and the game is their idea. It also raises money for great causes and highlights social injustices. How can any of that be racist?

But having said that, the game doesn't genuinely excite me. Yes the players play hard, but they seem to be doing so in such a good natured way that it lacks that competitive edge that make NRL games so good. ie the result doesn't mean all that much to me personally.

Time spent watching cricket this summer. Less than one hour.

It's not that I don't "like" it or not. I merely don't care.

I did listen to England v India one day game on the radio when I was in England, but that's only because someone else was listening and I was with them.
