American Football players in the NRL?

Some NFL players are no doubt brilliant athletes but to say they they would dominate at league is a bit far fetched. Their positions are too specialised, learnt by rote and not instinct.

And to describe NFL as awesome is a bit rich. A one hour game which takes up to four hours to complete and contains only 12 minutes of the players actually doing anything is about as compelling as watching sh*t dry.

As i said i didnt watch the vid the whole way thru the first time. Then i went back and i did watch the whole thing..and yes he did 3 training sessions and was a reserve for one match.

Since you still want to argue the point, i will once again go thru it for you. You said he "barely lasted 10 mins" I then pointed out that he was only put on the field with 10 mins to go.

You seem to be ascertaining that he barely lasted that time on the field. Looking at evidence off the video, it doesnt show anything to back that up. Sure he was breathing heavily, but guess what, League and Union players are always seen doing the same. He appeared to be fine when he walked off the field. It doesnt suggest AT ALL that he "barely lasted the 10 mins" You are making that bit up. I suggest you watch the vid again hey?

So instead of admitting you are wrong, you fall back on calling me autistic. Thats far from the case. I believe i am in fact your intellectual superior, based on the fact that i dont have to BS my way thru any argument, as you yourself are doing.

Please continue with your diatribe, i'm very much enjoying the distraction from a dull day at work.

First you claimed he didn't play in a game, then you claimed he only took part in one training session and now you're forced to admit he was huffing and puffing, like I said?

This isn't working out very well for you.

LMAO@Padball being a 'variation of Rugby' like League and Union...Jesus Christ.

...and I thought I'd heard it all on this thread.

.

FMD I am talking to a genius here. Touchdowns, scrimmage, quarter backs, lateral passes, oval ball, field goals need I go on?

Even the youtube thing you posted talks of the commonalities.

LMFAO!!!!

Forward passes, crash helmets, body armour, an independent offensive team that makes virtually no tackles, a independent defensive team than almost never handles the ball, players only on the field for literally half the game, restarts after every single play etc. etc. etc.

..and you're trying to claim that it's a 'variation of Rugby' the same way that League and Union are???

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!

Oh boy.

Its going fine. In my 2nd reply i clearly explained that i didnt watch the whole thing, and that i had to go back and view the clip in its entirety.

Now that is the 3rd time i have had to explain that to you. I sense a pattern forming here. :sarcasm:

Huffing and puffing is not "barely lasted 10 mins" i explained that too.

Your video that you have used as proof that NFL players cannot play rugby or league has been debunked. Completely and utterly debunked. That video does not support your argument.

I can clearly see that you are now desperately clutching on to your 'argument' Its so amusing to watch. I eat deadsh*ts like you for breakfast.

Now i await another of your ingenious comebacks.

I give him 5 minutes......until he runs out of breath and demands an oxygen mask..........

As many others have said before - they play to the way their game runs.

If these dudes were playing Rugby League from a young age they'd be just as fit as Australians.

You might as well make claims that people who play cricket would never make it as League players because cricketers stand around all day, occasionally rub their crotches and then have tea. Yes, of course they do, because that's what their sport is all about. But these guys are still Australians.

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed but athletes tend to train for the sports they play. Marathon runners run - high jumpers jump and golfers root slappers.... oh hold on that's just Tiger Woods. But you get my point.

Making blanket claims about how people from a certain sport wont make it in other sports is pointless. It cant be proven and they're not being asked to play that sport in the first place.

There are tremendous athletes playing American Football and tremendous athletes playing league. To try and claim one is better than the other is nonsensical.

Oh boy.

Play the ball == of downs, attacking team with downs/ptb defensive team...yes you fool.

You do realise the pads etc were introduced to avoid death!! Rugby instead changed the rules (flying wedges under shoulder hits, no blocking).

Having played all three codes to a decent level I can assure you there are many similarities.

No you havent.

Thats a pretty pathetic comeback. A completely fail comeback to be exact.

Please find more evidence of your assertion that NFL players cant play Rugby or League.

LMFAO!!!

In both Rugby codes, play continues immediately after a tackle has been made. In Padball, the play STOPS for an average of 30 seconds the teams form a huddle before resuming. If possession changes, a WHOLE OTHER TEAM comes on and takes their place!

In both Rugby codes, players are required to possess a wide range of skills in addition to their positional roles. In Padball, players perform their one-dimensional niche role over and over and might LITERALLY do nothing else over the course of a game. There are Linemen who have never run with the ball in their entire career and Wide Recievers who have never made a tackle. Kickers sit on the sideline all game and only come on a couple of times as needed.

In both Rugby codes, the ball is in play the majority of the 80 minutes. In Padball, the ball is only in play for an average of 16 minutes per 3 hour broadcast.

I mean seriously, this is just embarrassing.

No you havent.

You claimed that Jones hadn't played a game, had only been to one training session and wasn't huffing and puffing after 10 minutes. Fail

I never claimed that 'NFL players can't play Rugby or League'. Now you're just making up lies.

The great delusion still effects you i see. Do you want me to repeat myself for a fourth time? I'll explain it again for you because, well, your stupidity amuses me.

Now concentrate....

THE FIRST TIME I DIDNT WATCH THE VID THE WHOLE WAY THRU. THEN I WENT BACK AND WATCHED IT IN ITS ENTIRETY.

So your one defense is clinging to the claims i made in my first comment after only partly viewing the vid. This has been explained. This has been explained 4 times. And going by your difficulties to expand any other points, i believe this wont be the last either...

Upon viewing the whole vid, i was able to debunk your argument, as it showed him only coming on as a reserve with 10 to go.

Now i'm expecting your response to be as geniused as your last 4 responses to me. Please dont let me down.

Now for your last statement. This is an obvious case of back peddling. You have indeed asserted that very point time and time again. In fact, that was the whole reason you joined (2nd account?) this forum and created the thread. And now you have been owned by me, and several other posters. So you backpeddle. Awesome.

There is a member here who you would get on really well with. His name is Haynetrain. I suggest you two join forces or something, because being so stupid is going to be a large detriment to the rest of your time here. Together you stand a chance, alone..you are doomed.

Oh and squatdog....did your parents have any other kids that lived? Please, the world needs to know.

Everything I have stated is correct.

You managed to humiliate yourself and need to let it go and move on.

Give me one example of where I stated that 'NFL players can't play Rugby or League'.

Oh that's right, you can't because it's a total lie and fabrication.

Just finished with that video. Not only do they say "Dhani got through all the training drills with no problems", he doesn't even look buggered when he comes off the field at the end.

Oh, so you do agree then that NFL players would dominate if they played NRL?

No, because it's a load of crap.

I do agree that some players could successfully make the transition if they were played on the wing, where they could take advantage of their physical ability. Playing other positions (even centre) would be very difficult for them to adapt to.

The 1993 College Football players all failed miserably, even after being given every opportunity in the pre-season.

Just finished with that video. Not only do they say "Dhani got through all the training drills with no problems", he doesn't even look buggered when he comes off the field at the end.

Even 'Mightybronco' admitted that Jones was huffing and puffing after a whole 10 minutes on the field, are you calling him a liar?

Does anyone else find grown men drooling over pictures of men with their shirts off to be a little suss??
