I was just curious as to how Hunt went on his return last night after 6 weeks out.
Didn't see too much on the highlights except a very nice kick to set up a try. Very nice.
So I had a quick look at the Bronco's forum (leagueunlimited.com).
Very interesting.
Not a lot of love there for Hunt at all, in fact none. At best, a few more level headed posters suggested it was his first game back after 6 weeks, he played behind a pack that was dominated by Warriors etc. A few want him gone now ! Some want him in reserves.
Interestingly they mostly gave Benji a fairly good rap.
Anyway, I hope they're wrong about our future star half back.
Also, I was fascinated at how hard done by these f**kwits think they are with SOO. No questions of how the f**k can we afford 7 SOO players.Amazing too how they think the NRL draw is set up against them !!! FMD.
I hate these f**kers even more than I thought I did.

I though benji outplayed him.
Defensively he was strong.
He played better in the second half.
Give 2 or3 game a he will be back

First game back after 8 weeks in a depleted Broncos side that were dominated all game. He can't do it all on his own.

Fair dinkum some of the excuses here... For what we are paying Hunt he had better learn to kick and do everything else week in week out, regardless of how many games out or how the forward pack performs.

We are paying him Jonathon Thurston type money and he will need to deliver.

Credit to you, first Saints fan I have seen with a realistic view regarding Ben Hunt

Pretty insane comments here. Hunt played well I thought. Forwards matter...a lot. Broncs pack is average and without McGuire, mcullen, and gilette, any half will feel it.

Strange entitlement as we paid top dollar, we paid that sum for a reason. I can already here these same folks crowing next year when hunt drops his first ball.

Remember Thurston played in a cowboys team that Consistently missed finals whilst he was best half in the comp

Finding quality half backs are rare and sometimes you do have to pay overs for these type of players,
Ben Hunt is a quality player that will form a solid partnership with Widdop creating one of the strongest spines in the NRL for years to comes.

We will be paying Widdop a fair chunk of cash too from next year so it wont only be Hunt that the pressure will be on. Lets hope Widdop delivers also and doesn't revert back to his 2016 form

I was pretty surprised at the negativity with comments over several pages on their forum about his return game last night and thought it was the same kind of shift in comments on here about Duges after he signed with sharks.
There will be huge expectations of him with Dragons next year so let's hope he has the right people around him on and off the field to just play footy. He certainly has the ability, hopefully he'll have new motivation and a great team spirit around him at Dragons.

I hope you're right, but keep in mind the dollars we are reportedly paying him makes him arguably the biggest marquee signing in the history of the joint venture.
