Kade Snowden!

Newcastle Knights prop Kade Snowden has today been chosen by the public to represent the 2012 NRL All Stars who play the NRL Indigenous All Stars at Skilled Park on February 4 this year.

This will be Snowden’s first time representing the All Stars and he will join Knights and All Stars coach Wayne Bennett on the Gold Coast next month for the third consecutive All Stars game.

Snowden was a popular choice with the public, receiving over 4000 votes to make him the seventh most voted player overall in the NRL.

Over 45,000 people took part in the public vote for both the NRL All Stars and Indigenous All Stars, and Snowden was chosen out of a 64-man shortlist, which included Knights players, Neville Costigan, Junior Sa’u and Jarrod Mullen.

This is great news for the 25-year-old Newcastle local who has already represented Country, NSW and Austra

Man I hope he's good to go this year.

If he's injury-free, I expect him to have a mammoth of a season.

Yep, we hung the same hopes on Ben Cross too.

Jeez we have had some crap luck with our big name recruits over the years

Yeah we've had some crap "luck" (if that's what you want to call it) with many Knights players suffering injuries over the years.

Kade is the best choice for us.
He really needs game time early in the season to get match fit because he has never really been able to get to his peak on the training paddock.
Heard a radio interview with him a while ago where he was saying he is going to see how hard he can go at rep level, which is what we want him to do.
All through the juniors he took till well into the second half of the season before he really dominated.
He has a massive motor, but it takes a lot to get him fit.

We all agree it is good to have the snowman back. He has everything required to become the best
prop in the game under Bennett. Stuart will be desperate to have a fit Snowy for origin selection.

That's why we made multiple 'big name' recruits this year :D

Boyd, Buderus, Snowden, Tahu & at a pinch Cuthbertson.

Then the lesser known but could be big names Laurie, McKinnon.

Even half done he was still making over a 100 metres most match's and strong in defence(if not a workhorse).

Will go well for ya's as much as I hate to admit it after ya's pinched him :)
