Eskimo, I honestly don't think it's wishful thinking. With a degree in Business (Industrial Relations) and plenty of experience in hiring, firing, union disputes and unfair dismissal claims, I have every belief that the club could march him out the door with nothing more than a kick in the bum.
Craig Coleman had a contract. Gooooorrrne! Plenty of other coaches have had contracts and still been punted. Anderson has breached his, several times. If he wants to argue, in court, that the club 'engineered an environment' that encouraged him to behave poorly, the club has PLENTY of witnesses who can be called upon to testify how Anderson treated staff, players and others poorly.
Players who could be called include the likes of Mellor, Campbell, Treister, Graham, Franze and Gibson. These guys have all been treated to the infamous Anderson treatment, the KING of 'engineering' detrimental environments.
Staff include those present when Dean was dumped from the 25 in a bar at the club. Not to mention, of course, Theo Burgess, Greg Peirce and Ando's BOSS, GM Steve Rogers, who was called a 'low c--t' by our potential plaintiff.
If Anderson wants to take it to the Courtroom, that's fine by me. He'll get nailed. Sure, there will be a bit of bloodletting, and more unwanted embarrassment for the whole club, but this will be short-term. Better to win in a biffo than compromise ourselves from here to Season 2006.
Seriously, could YOU call a senior colleague a 'low c--t' in a heated argument and still expect to have a job tomorrow? What about abusing a customer (in Ando's case, a ref) with all manner of poor language?
He'll go quietly, I'd bet my house on it. Because he knows he's gone.
