Danny Boy, you should not lower the aura of one of our worlds finest tunes by behaving so titchy when posting under such a name.

The decision for the coaching job next year has been made, but not by the people who everyone thinks need to make it. An action by a party involved over 12 weeks ago will decide the coaching position next year, one that not many people know about.

For mine I think it will be a good option and will allow our club to move forward solidly.

Morpheus, I am certainly no English Scholar, but just have a look what you just posted. It says that the decision HAS been made about the coaching position next year, then in the 2nd paragraph you say that a party WILL decide who the coach is for next year.

Can you confirm that the decision is final, and it would be fair to assume by your post that messrs Anderson AND Raper will NOT be head coach as everyone believes.

And just to stretch the friendship, has this possible person been involved with the club before??

We're not talking about Sludge are we? If so, I personally can't see it. The guy is a legend and synonymous with the club, but he has categorically denied it when rumours started about this, and there is a far cry between being a great player and a great coach. Please tell us this one isn't true?

I agree, you need to have that bit of distance to be effective. I believe that you can't be a good coach if you are mates with the players. It just makes it too hard to command the necessary respect from your players and to make the tough decisions when they are needed.

Hopefully Morpheus will enlighten us.

I've encouraged that in the past and wouldnt mind one bit if it were true. However he is 'one of the boys' which would pose a bit of a worry.

Both Greg Pierce and Simon Gillies would be possibilities.

Don't know why they'd bother having SR run the side though if they had a surprise in store.

I think the surprise will be more in line with how things happen rather than who will be there

He seems to know a lot of what is happening so must have some position in the club.
Maybe sludge pushing his own barrow.
I don't care who he is personally because he or she keeps us solid supporters dilegently glued to the forum. I try to come on every day because there seems to be more things happening on our site in the off season than in the regular season..so keep pushing it out morph I luv all this excitement.
