6 tries in 16 games last years. 6 line breaks. very average. He's starting to play well in the mighty PL is he? It's about bloody time.

Fact is neither Covell or Simmons deserve to be dropped after last weeks perfomance. Fact is Merritt didn't deserve to put into first grade, after the Jets were flogged by Manly and the Eels in consecutive weeks.

If i was rapes i'd give him the utility bench spot bench spot. Give him a shot closer to the action...... if he fails he fails

I'm glad you're not coach, Cheese. I think our bench is just fine. Sullivan at 17 is sensible, creative and can tackle. Merritt at 17 is foolishness, runs fast, but is scared of the high ball, reads the play poorly in defence.

I actually think those are merrits good points.

good with the high ball, great defense.

His problem is hands on basic passes & gathers.

Also his reluctance to go looking for work.

But we now have a fairly obvious trait appearing in the squad. that is, nobody leaves their position. And nobody does.

nope. then i was hoping he'd live up to the hype one day. now i'm recognising that he hasn't and won't.

also reick is in PL at wests.

so i'm feeling quietly confident about continuing to stand firmly behind my stevo's rear-staring theory. although i must say i'm sure it's a lovely rear if such things do happen to take your fancy.

btw - lolesi does that mean you're going on record as rating franze ? i know preston went to penrith and has done brilliantly, but he did actually manage to win the dally m at the sharks before ando screwed him over. franze will be lucky to win division 4 in lotto.

Sure am, i rate him, i think he is a good player, just lacking abit of speed and confidence.

If he can find the form he had in 03 he will be one of the form centres in the comp.

also lacking the ability to complete a tackle. watch the penrith game against parra, he was absolutley dodgy in defence.
