So no photos of Meninga writing messages on his Origin polo shirt or using the game to send a message to his incarcerated brother?

Unless you have either of the above, there is absolutely no link to what Fifita did and you're only embarrassing yourself.
That is your opinion and you are welcome to it

Others see a clear link

The only determining factor is how the media has decided to use each instance

i'm not looking for one so what is your point?

You have to have a small obscure set f cryptic letters on your armband, coming out and saying you support your rapist brother to the press doesn't mean you support your rapist brother, gotta have the band.

Same as visiting prison and signing a head stomper, that's not obscure enough you must have srp on your armband

Nope, just the family of the victim. And the fact that the NRL would rather their players don't put messages supporting convicted criminals on their playing gear when they are representing the organisation.

Pretty simple really.

Has that happened? Or are we playing make-believe?

Who is saying Fifita should be sacked?
So the family of the victim saw Fifita playing nrl, noticed FKL on his and immediately knew that it was a call to free their loved ones killer?
We will never know what the message meant, but it's the media guessing what the letters may mean that has seen this story have an impact.
Yes Meninga supporting his rapist murdering brother really happened, their has been a link with Meninga saying he is joyed at his realise. If you can make up in your mind what fkl could mean then i can make up in my mind by what meninga is 'joyed about'

Packer has been busy in prison sorting out what his next move will be and Fairfax Media believes he will agree to play for the Red V.

The Panthers also went after Packer in a big way but ran into salary cap issues, while the Broncos could not match what the other clubs were willing to pay.

Fairfax Media believes the Dragons have offered Packer a three-year deal, which is conditional on the NRL granting him registration and the club is expecting that he may have to sit out the first half of next season to prove he's a reformed character.

Packer has been visited in prison by clubs and people involved in the game and the general view is he's a reformed character and that the whole experience has been a wake-up call for him.

Now that's publicly supporting a criminal

Did Mal broadcast that picnic on national tv?
Did mals public stated support for the release of the rapist murderer have any affect on the family of his victims?
The state farging coach coming out to publicly bat for the scum that raped and mudered your kid!

Let's ignore the parts where Meninga specifically mentions the impact to the victim's family and speaks about how he wants his brother to make a worthwhile contribution to society after the justice system has decided he has paid his debt.

But yeah, clearly the same as just using the NRL and their broadcast partner to put out a message to a convicted criminal.

Loved hearing Todd in his big mans voice yesterday extolling the virtues of being a kangaroo. I had no idea they sat on such high horses.
Or perhaps its fortunate for the likes of your Rapers, Fittlers and Johns's that they didnt play for the Sharks.

But it is heartening to know that Todd is the self appointed gatekeeper and prtotector of families who are the victims of violence.

Or is that just when it suits him.

Where was the same pure virtue Todd when you stood in front of the media and lied that Ben Barba was spendig some time away from the game due to substance abuse. In fact his girl had been to see you and show you her cut lip from being hit.
But Ben was your number 1 star and you couldnt have him leave your club could you.

Fifita has hit noone...yet you have taken a harder line. Hhmmm....oh thats right you arent in charge of the Sharks so no self interest.

You would have a point if you were telling the truth.

As has done fifita

And meningas brother promptly ended back in jail after threatening to kill another girl
Certainly meningas offers of guidance fell short of what was needed to rehabilitate his murdering rapist brother
