How about NRL players dont abuse junior refs and we never have this problem.

But yeh, clearly the refs fault because what he does for a day job.

if it wasn't for the other blokes " day job" I highly doubt the ref would've started filming
Nobody in here would've heard a thing about it
The ref wouldn't need trauma therapy either.

Careful what you say, in them junior leagueu refs and officials are told to report all incidents and any person inside or outside the playing field will have severe action taken against them

This year I have seen people suspended from any activities in the junior league for 12 months for far less than what these persons are accused of. All junior leagues have been on the front foot in these matters, trainers are not allowed to comment or criticise refs as part of the code of conduct

Be interesting to see if their punishment is similar to what " nobody volunteers" get, be disappointed if they don't get at least 1 or 2 years suspension from junior footy, and I am aware of a lower grader stood down for a few games for a much lesser offence as a spectator

Whilethe actual facts are still unknown, if the ref failed to stop the game for an injured player after the on field trainer alerted him to an injury, he should be in more strife than the Fafitas.

What absolute rubbish. If the injured player is not deemed to be in risk due to the game continuing the referee does not have to stop the game.

I know it's at the refs discretion whether to blow time off for injury or not, but I thought once the trainers approach the ref about an injured player, the decision is taken out of the refs hands and he has a duty of care to stop the game.

Maybe he thought that the ref had stolen his shoe and was in fact holding his shoe instead of his phone and as he attempted to retrieve said shoe the ref began moving backwards which led him to exclaim "I have shoe?", which amongst the commotion was misheard as "I'll smash you".
