Says on twitter he will sign for tigers
it say s on twitter...ohh it must be true..it's not like people can make that sh*t up..
It would certainly be a strange signing for us & totally against what Sheens said only a week or so ago.www.zerotackle. com.au/rumour-andrew-ryan-wests-tigers-2012-2963 - remove extra space between .com wouldnt post corretcly for some wierd reason.
The Wests Tigers may not be done with their recent signing spree after the latest rumours suggesting Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs off-contract captain Andrew Ryan is on the verge of signing with the club for 2012.
It would be somewhat of an odd signing for the Tigers after coach Tim Sheens recently stated that rather than blaming the signing of Melbourne Storm forward Adam Blair for the release of Bryce Gibbs, Andrew Fifita and Tim Moltzen, it was more the Tigers needs to keep the nucleus of the sensational talent from their Toyota Cup squad that put pressure on the salary cap.
To then sign a 33 year old Ryan for next season, especially when hes not even wanted by the club he currently captains, would certainly give fans the wrong impression.
The Only thing he will bring is a wealth of experience and heart. His playing days IMO are long gone and this really would be spitting in the face of the Bryce & Co.
You could do worse for a year or two as a leader for the young blokes. Push him up to prop so he is in the middle rather than on the fringes. He performed very well at Prop for the Dogs earlier this year while Tolman was out.
The point is, he is a better prop now than he is a back rower. He made the shift well while Tolman was out. Looking at the kids you have coming through at Prop I certainly wouldnt rule it out.
